NFL: Where was outcry over bad Super Bowl calls?

Yes, Monday night’s game was controversial, and all we have heard are how bad the replacement refs are and how Seattle really didn’t win. We will be hearing this story for the rest of the year, and longer if this happens to be the game Green Bay can blame if they don’t happen to make the playoffs by one game.

What I do not understand is this: In the 2005 Super Bowl between the Seattle Seahawks and the Pittsburgh Steelers, there were some really bad calls from the regular officials that caused Seattle to lose, but people didn’t carry on nationally about that. Certainly we in Washington did, but it didn’t appear to be that big a deal to the rest of the country like this is.

No one is talking about all of the Seahawks’ sacks and all the good plays, and if Green Bay was this super team as everyone thinks, they should have been way ahead so that call shouldn’t have made a difference. A win is a win.
