I have had the pleasure of knowing Lauren Walker for more than 30 years. We have worked together in the Hilltop neighborhood, on the board of directors of the Homeownership Center of Tacoma and on various projects at Associated Ministries. It has also been my privilege to work with her in her capacity as a member of the Tacoma City Council and as executive director of the Fair Housing Center of Washington.

Walker is a woman of many gifts. She is a leader, collaborator, an advocate and innovator. I was so excited to see her elected and re-elected to the City Council, and now I am even more excited that she is willing to run for 27th Legislative District state representative, thus bringing her gifts and passions to an arena that can be even more helpful to all of us.

My wife and I are enthusiastic supporters of Walker because we have a great appreciation for her skills and talents. Even more important to us is her passion and her commitment to build stronger communities for all of us.

  1. MrCarleone says:

Lauren Walker has done absolutely NOTHING for her district in the entire time she has been in office.

    Lazy and incompetent.

Will definitely be voting for anyone but Ms. Walker.
