TNT: Sorensens’ Your Voice was moving

Re: “Family thwarted in getting Laura the help she so desperately needs” (Your Voice, 8-15).

I can barely imagine the torment the Sorensen family must be confronting these days, since their daughter and sister went off the rails. In more than 40 years of reading The News Tribune, I have to say that the Sorensens’ editorial response was perhaps the most impressive and moving piece I’ve ever read.

The Sorensens and The News Tribune are to be credited.

  1. A friends brother walked into a Port Orchard convenience store a few years ago and killed the owner with a shotgun.

    He, too, was one of those in desperate need of mental help. What happened after that was further harm done to him by the Kitsap prosecutor’s staff. Abuse of Power is a badge they wear with pride in Port Orchard.
