ELECTION: Jeannie Darneille will work hard for us

Ever since we moved to Tacoma some years ago, we’ve watched Jeannie Darneille in the community and have been so impressed with what we’ve seen. She’s always been somebody who rolls up her sleeves and does the work – like for the band boosters at Stadium, the PTA at Mason Middle School, in Rotary and in the Chamber of Commerce.

Darneille’s deeply involved in her church, and before she was elected to the Legislature, she volunteered for committees and task forces with the City of Tacoma. She has also spent time as a Big Sister, working one-on-one with a young woman who needed a role model, and put in endless hours on breast cancer programs.

She is the kind of person you can always count on when things need to be done in the community. I’ve enjoyed watching her and working with her over the years, and that’s why I’m voting for her for state Senate. She will do the hard work ahead and ask, what’s next?
