The article (TNT, 7-15) about the 10th Congressional District candidates made it seem like a bunch of out-of-state groups are funding Denny Heck’s campaign.

I would just like to say that I am a donor to Heck’s campaign. I gave $25 because I believe he can help us get our economy back on track.

Most of his donors are regular, everyday people like me. We are supporting him because he is smart and a hard worker. Please vote for Heck in the Aug. 7 primary election.

  1. the3rdpigshouse says:

The only reason the local Washington socialist democrats widely support Heck is that they want more from the “Stash” built by stealing other folks earnings!!!

  2. truthbusterguy says:

Heck’s grass roots are labor and teachers unions, tax free indian tribes and trial lawyers that don’t want tort reforms.

Fleming or Muri will be much better congressmen.

  3. Pig & TBG,
Do either of you live in the 10th District.

  4. truthbusterguy says:

Yes, live in 10th, work in 6th, want to move from both to a red state before tolls, fees and taxes break me.

  5. TBG,
Shoot in the dark, but no jobs available in red states?

Better unions and tax-free tribes than slave wages, no benefit jobs with tax-free corporations.

  6. Oldfaithful says:

Red states are doing very well in job creation.
All the minimum wage increases in WA state did was decrease the number of entry level jobs and part time jobs. I feel genuine sorrow for teens and college students.

Minimum wage was NEVER meant to support a family. Those who take on that responsibility were, in the old days, expected to have worked (apprenticed) or studied a profession to earn a living wage before starting a family. They then had skills and a family wage jobs.

  7. Oldfaithful,
Unfortunately, most of those new red state jobs are minimum wage jobs just like here in Washington.

    Job Growth:
    Washington 1.8%
    Ohio 0.4%
    Wisconsin 0.8%
    Montana 0.8%
    Mississippi 1.3%

The strongest support of apprenticeships is and always has been the Unions.
