ELECTION: Bill Driscoll well-suited for Congress

I really am impressed with Bill Driscoll, candidate for the 6th Congressional District. He has a strong business background in the timber business, with experience working in Washington state as well as exporting to China and Japan. This results in a familiarity with the business community both locally and abroad.

In addition, concerned with the hardships undergone by young men in the military serving multiple tours, at the age of 40 he volunteered to rejoin the Marines and served combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have a congressman who can speak the language of both business and military? Driscoll fits that description, as well as being intelligent, personable and firmly committed to supporting the Constitution and the values of our country.

I have heard that Driscoll’s opponent is “very likable,” but so is Driscoll and I prefer to have this election based on concrete qualities and accomplishments rather than just be a personality contest. I encourage voters to support Driscoll for Congress.

Jesse Young also has considerable business experience both home and abroad, and his experience spans several industries important to the district. What’s even more important is that Jesse has a vision and a plan for the district. Adding to that, he also stands with fellow Republicans on our social values. Driscoll has admirable qualities, but Jesse Young brings more to the table than family money and a party establishment drooling to get their hands on it.

A republican for 40 yrs., I’ve sadly watched something called The Tea Party steal my beloved GOP, Lincoln-Eisenhower brand, a party for all Americans, and turn it into a mouthpiece for a small extreme group of fanatical religious far right ideologues who’s main goals seem to be strong arming all other Americans into kneeling down to their narrow interpretation of “Being American”, them being the “last word” on that and to dance about, flaunting their wealth whilst the rest of us remain silent, happy to scrape out an existence in a system stacked against all the rest of us 99%ers, geared towards benefiting only those well connected. It astonishes me how these folks apparently neglect to display any form of compassion for anyone else, especially for folks who are at the lower end of the IQ range who, by the way, are Americans too, by God. Oh, they would be happy to toss these folks a bone as long as those folks grovel at the feet of those Tea Party “Christians”. Sounds so Dark Ages to me. I trust Christ is shaking his head in shame.
I’m liking Bill Driscoll, candidate for 6th congressional district, as he appears to be willing to buck the “Tea Party” plague. Come on folks, lets take back our GOP. The Democrats allowed the Rainbow Coalition and their ilk to steal their party, FDR-JFK brand, and we must fight to regain our beloved GOP!
