OBAMA: Where’s outrage over president’s corruption?

Letter by Dean John Artis, Tacoma on July 2, 2012 at 2:13 pm with 83 Comments »
July 2, 2012 2:16 pm

I am amazed by the deafening silence from my progressive friends on the outrageous actions by President Obama of late.

Obama uses an executive order to implement immigration reform and bypass Congress; his Department of Justice shields Attorney General Holder from having to answer for his contempt of Congress; and the president asserts executive privilege to hide the truth about “Fast and Furious.”

Obama’s Health and Human Services requires employers to cover contaceptives, abortifacients and sterilization in the health insurance they provide their employees despite their religious objections. He refuses to enforce immigration laws and defend the Defense of Marriage Act. The list goes on and on.

President James Madison once said, “There are more instances of the abridgement of freedom of the people by the gradual and silent encroachment of those in power, than by violent and sudden usurption.”

Just because Obama is a Democrat doesn’t mean you should stand silent in your criticism while he makes a mockery of the United States Constitution.

  1. Dean, why are you amazed? Holder is too busy supporting the Blank Panther party when they intimidate white voters at the polls. We can’t expect Obama to change his stripes from being a community organizer in only 31/2 years. It will take at least another four years before he can make that transition and re-invent this country into what he and his fellow travellers envision it should be. Rememeber he did say that he was going to “transform’ this country. If telling a few little “white lies” (no pun intended) is what it takes, so be it.

  2. Madison once said, “There are more instances of the abridgement of freedom of the people by the gradual and silent encroachment of those in power, than by violent and sudden usurption.”

Is there a way we could imprint this on the brains of the collective left?

Progressive = the gradual and silent encroachment of those in power…

  3. truthbusterguy says:

Osama obama has been taking lessons on political suicide from nancy Pelosi. The liberal progressive don’t think he needs there help to shoot himself in the foot. Both his boots are already full of holes so he doesn’t need that kind of help right now. They know he is his own worst enemy.

I hope he keeps us the good work stabbing his own reelection efforts. The more of these things he does the more moderates drop him like a rock.

So in November only far left whites, gays, minorities, Hollywood and jews will vote for him. Stick a fork in osama, he’s done.

  4. aislander says:

BHO is at an average of 43% in the latest polls of swing states.

Since independent voters almost ALWAYS break big for the challenger…well…

I’m not counting my chickens though–it’s time to work even harder now and make certain of retaining control of the House and taking back the Senate.

  5. Frankenchrist says:

I’m still waiting for the Repukes to show me where Saddam’s WMD are hiding.

  6. Fibonacci says:

    They are in Rush’s garage.

  7. Frankenchrist

That’s the best you can come up with? Time to put your head back where it was, GWB is looking saint like compared to B-O, you had your chances to criticize Bush, now it’s our turn…You guys are tiresome at best, liars at worst…

  8. Dean, great letter.

  9. ErnestTBass says:

You 53%ers are getting your “hope and change.” Now wait till 2014 when Obama “don’t” Care kicks in. You”re really going to find out what a fraud he really is. The “Kenyan Candidate” is destroying our country. Do you think Obama and the rest of the politicians are going to be under Obama “don’t” Care”? Of course not. You people still havent woke up. I pity all of you. “Oath Keeper!!”

  10. Nothing in your letter shows any corruption. It shows some sound and necessary decision making well within the powers of the president.

We’ve had examples of corrupt presidental activities, like Reagan when he waged Iran-Contra even after Congress specifically forbade him from doing so and Nixon. But nothing Obama has done is anything that every other president hasn’t done.

The thing that comes the closest to a stretch of Constitutional powers is the drone bombing of Pakistan civilians. I would like Republicans to take him to court on that.

  11. What a pack of hypocrites these right wing zombies be,
When themselves they try to deceive.

Obama’s actions as POTUS pale are no different in content or degree from what Bush did.

However, Bush is a Christian and Republican so everything he did is forgiven, while Obama’s actions are exaggerated and condemned.

  12. ‘as Potus are no different’

  13. Sroldguy says:

    Frankenchrist says:
“I’m still waiting for the Repukes to show me where Saddam’s WMD are hiding.”

I’m still waiting for Obama to close down Guantanamo Bay, bring the troops home, full disclosure ….

Oh, what the heck. I don’t feel like typing all he promised and hasn’t delivered…

  14. menopaws says:

Oh, all the whiners are out in full force….the Supreme Court slapped that moron Brewer and said the health care law was constitutional……..Tough times indeed for those who thought the lawyer in the White House, that “uppity” man was going to get kicked by the conservative judiciary…………So, let’s start beating the corruption drum and change the subject.
Letter writer—the last President invoked Executive privilege 6 times……..did that concern you then? Fortune Magazine is printing an article that says Holder was in the dark with “Fast and Furious”, that they have the e-mails proving he wasn’t told by the ATF what was going on…….Furthermore, Darryl Issa has those same documents and charged ahead with his political witch hunt anyway. The sheer level of IRRATIONAL hatred of this President has gone so far out of control that Justice Roberts stepped up to defend the assault of the American Presidency by the RADICAL right. Republicans do NOT deserve to be in power when they abuse it, as the minority party……Get over it–your side LOST your side was WRONG. EXECUTIVE PRIVILEGE is legal. Holder canceled that horrible ATF program as soon as he found out. Quit this racist crap and start governing this country. there is indeed corruption—you are just looking in the wrong place……..

  15. LeePHill says:

Obama has done nothing wrong. Nor has Holder

  16. US Lawmakers Want Guantanamo Bay Detention Center Kept Open

11 May 2911: Days after the Obama administration renewed its vow to close the U.S. detention center at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, a group of mostly-Republican Senators is introducing legislation that would keep the facility open and designate it as the primary U.S. location for holding and interrogating high-value terror suspects.

Guantanamo Bay 10th Anniversary: Obama’s Detention Law Could Fill Prison Obama Tried To Close

11 Jan 2012 – WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama failed two years ago to close the infamous Guantanamo Bay prison, and with Wednesday marking the 10th anniversary of its creation, debate is raging over whether a law he signed will ensure it will stay open for decades to come, jailing even United States citizens.

Tucked into the National Defense Authorization Act of 2012, which Obama signed on New Year’s Eve, are provisions that appear to allow indefinite military detention of American terrorism suspects, and to require it of suspected foreign enemies

  17. LeePHill says:

    Jim was funnier as Joe

  18. What is incredible is how perfect BHO is to the leftist. How is that possible? Nothing wrong, ever? Come on.

Even if you love Obamacare, the timing of massive regulations was stupid and selfish.

The Hope and Change? Now that it is more of the same, excuses fly a reason.

  19. took14theteam says:

Bush did nothing wrong. Nor did Gonzalez.

  20. BigSwingingRichard says:

Dean, the offramp is approaching and we will get there November 6.

  21. Calm down menopaws or you’re going to have to claim some of that Obamacare sooner than you thought.

  22. About that glaringly absent “outrage,” it is difficult to experience strident passionate feelings when you are walking around in an indoctrinated stupor.

  23. sevanup says:

fro sty You would tarnish an entire race of people for the actions of three knuckleheads (that’s all there were that day)? You must have been tired from counting poll taxes; overseeing the jellybean in a jar count; verbatim recitations of the Bible or Constitution; enabling present day voter suppression laws; and kicking kittens to notice. Maybe your friend BassTernest, Kenyan Lover, and TruthabuserGrunt, slogan monger, could dish up some more superlatives for the three of you to spew. The letter is so full of untruths. However, the scribbler is entitled to his opinion. That is all this tawdry missive is. It is nice to see ‘coma 7′ (CT7) out and about.

  24. took14theteam says:

sevanup, kay…. Why didn’t you throw in the Estrogen challenged person as well?

And the comment by sozo says it all.

  25. sozo – ‘walking around in an indoctrinated stupor’ – great discription of the gop’s zombie base as seen on this blog.

  26. took14theteam says:

For an alleged x-marine Mr. xring, you sure have some issues.

You need to come up with some new talking points or I will assume you are just a left wing troll.

  27. menopaws says:

Ct-7–At least he tried to make sure that good people who are poor get basic health care………I’m really tired of listening to all those good “Christians” who don’t care about the WORKING poor whose kids or spouses get seriously ill and go bankrupt paying those bills…the Republican :”Christian” mantra appears to mean..”.I’ve got health care—tooo bad you don’t…..Not my problem…..But, I’ll pray for you”………You people must be sooo damn proud of yourselves……….Good thing, because that kind of neglect of reality is why this country is still climbing out of the hole of your INDIFFERENCE……You aren’t mean , you aren’t evil–you just don’t care if it’s not your problem……..Benign, ignorant, selfish, neglect….Be proud…John Roberts saved you from yourselves….He didn’t want to do it–but, you all finally managed to gross him out……He is still a conservative–but he is a man of conscience and balance……All of you should pay more attention to his motives than your own….Listening to the right crucify a man for voting his basic beliefs makes me think you people have a serious issue with real integrity………..Go suck up to Scalia–he’s for sale for a piece of broccoli!!!!

  28. took14theteam says:

Did menopause say something? Thought I saw the “moniker”, but it isn’t worth trying to read the rants the way it types, so I will wait till someone paraphrases the rant.

  29. Frankenchrist says:

    Where are the WMDs, teabaggers?

  30. Took

I over came my demons many, many years ago.

I used zen and tai chi, but I doubt they would work for you.

Meantimes, I’ll just keep resisting the right wing because as Ben Franklin said – all that is required for evil to prevail is for good people to do nothing.

  31. SandraKirstan says:

    someone took something bad

  32. So what does the “right” have to offer that doesn’t involve the same policies that crashed the economy in the first place?

  33. FC, what does that have to do with anything today, or the TEA party calling for fiscal sanity?

Try as you want to make this race about pre-2008 politics, but it is about BHOs failure to live up to the hype.

Meno- how have people survived up to this point?

  34. Frida- who is talking about loose financial regs? No one. Who pushes easy money and mortgages that people cannot afford in a downturn? The left.

  35. Harry_Anslinger says:

So no outrage over Haliburton, the Carlyle Group, and the myriad of Bush/Cheney defense contractors? No outrage over the trillions of dollars and counting, millions and millions of jobs, immeasurable heartache and suffering that ‘derivatives’, ‘CDO’s and ‘credit default swaps’ have cost the middle class while the financial industry pushed and pushed out the housing/mortgage securities bubble until it burst, while slyly betting against the same mortgage backed securities they had pushed as A+, leaving the average American to hold the empty bag? How quickly we forget the absurdity of the last administration, how incredibly bad the economy was, how financiers have gotten away with the crime of all existence, how obstructionist the Congress has been, how much of a hole we were in from the start of Obama’s administration. Yeah how about catching up on the last decade of outrage so as to have some perspective on our current situation. Thanks.

  36. How’s that tinfoil hat treating you Harry? Want to add a little more conspiracy in there? Where are the arrests? Who is “they”? Please, the stimulus was possibly the most corrupt piece of garbage to come out of our govt since its existence.

Very few people saw the mortgage bubble about to burst and bet against it. If you really cared one of them wrote a good book on it, but you would rather think there was a grand conspiracy. Odd you left Barney Frank off your list. Got some partisan blinders on?

  37. SwordofPerseus says:

Harry, this is the typical troll rant; “I hate Obama, and everything he does no matter what, cause I seen it on the Faux Nuze”. The outrage is misplaced because the Republicon constituency has no idea what is being done to them. I have tried in vain to explain, I hope that because of this publications typical news slant that it attracts a certain demographic reflected in the dismally ignorant comments on these pages, and not a broader representation of the population of the South Sound in general.

  38. SwordofPerseus says:

    “publication’s typical…”

  39. beerBoy says:

I am outraged by the outrage expressed about the lack of outrage!

    Give me a break.

  40. SOP, so the failure of BHOs economy is the fault of Fox News? Fox made Fast and Furious happen? Fox used executive privilege? Fox played 100 rounds of golf?

You blame/hate fox, but in your ignorance you fail to recognize that as the only center-right news org (TV) they are the only ones looking at this admin with a critical eye. And today is all about the run-on sentence.

  41. beerBoy says:

The level of hysteria whipped up about Obama is in no way proportional to the reality of his actions.

He is, at worst/best, a poor/mediocre/fair president. He isn’t the demon or the messiah. His “socialism” in his health care plan is a huge gift to the Insurance industry – hardly an example of threatening capitalism by giving the workers control over the means of production.

  42. tellnolies says:

Deafening silence from progressives? Maybe you should take the earplugs out. (hint, “D” is not the limit to “progressives”)
Try listening to some truly independent sources

You are amazed that partisans act like partisans?

Might as well be amazed/outraged at water being wet and the sky being blue.

  43. CT7 – your blinders and ear plugs working quite well.

The biggest brake on the economy is the GOP’s willingness to destroy the County rather than work with the President.

  44. menopaws says:

Ct7—You always make fun of those who come to the table armed with knowledge. Wearing your ignorance like a badge of honor gets old….Harry made some great points—his brain was engaged in something related to reality……..Try it sometime–the right thinks mean is a good substitute for ideas……..Name calling bullies belong on the playground………This hole we are in was created by your MBA President. the Wall Street Hedge fund manager wants to do it again……..Those of you who want to get your pocket picked a SECOND time by the same people who did it the first time should be aware that no one will bail you out the next time……..They don’t care about you—once they are back in power their corporate plans won’t help the deficit, but starting another war in Iran will make those defense contractors jump for joy………Save your insults of others—we all just feel sorry for you……..Mean is all you got.

  45. It is this kind of nonsense, menopaws, that is bringing people to cast you as an irrational person:

“I’m really tired of listening to all those good “Christians” who don’t care about the WORKING poor whose kids or spouses get seriously ill and go bankrupt paying those bills…the Republican :”Christian” mantra appears to mean..”.I’ve got health care—tooo bad you don’t…..Not my problem…..But, I’ll pray for you”…

You simply don’t know what you’re talking about, and yet you just keep talking.

I wish I could show you what would happen in this country, and in the world, if Christians stopped caring and withdrew their fiscal, moral and spiritual support.

Perhaps it has not yet occurred to you, or several others who visit this blog routinely, that charity and welfare are not the same thing and that the latter begets dependence and lethargy.

You want Big Daddy to take your money and redistribute it willy nilly; I prefer to direct my money to causes I have researched, and actually forge a relationship with the folks I serve. Bureaucracy deals with people as numbers;I prefer to deal with human beings.

Think outside the liberal box for a change, will you? Your arrogance is amplified by ignorant statements such as the one noted here.

  46. LeePHill says:

    “sozo says:
July 3, 2012 at 7:23 am It is this kind of nonsense, menopaws, that is bringing people to cast you as an irrational person”

If you want to be more rational, develop a resentment about a comediene.

  47. LeePHill says:

“Fox made Fast and Furious happen? Fox used executive privilege? Fox played 100 rounds of golf?”

No, Bush made “fast and furious” happen, as it was happening when Obama took over.

Obama used executive privilege just like Bush did protecting Rove from prosecution for outting Valerie Plame.

100 rounds of golf? Let’s see. Been in office since January 2009 – about 130 weeks and hasn’t played a round a week? That’s about 1/3 of Boehner’s golf schedule and less than most guys who are members of the mens’ club at your local course. Of course, Obama is a Kenyan Marxist Socialist with a faked birth certificate so he can’t play as much golf as a citizen.

Now that we’ve gone through that, document the 100 rounds with something other than FOX. The last time you mentioned the president’s schedule, you embarrassed yourself worse than when you didn’t realize that Major Hasan was an American citizen.

  48. LeePHill says:

Last night I turned to FOX just in time to watch O’Reilly and Hume execute the most contrived piece of garbage journalism ever on TV.

They were “discussing” the Supreme Court decision on health care insurance. O’Reilly said something about “no one is going to lose their Medicare (truth) and Hume interrupted (like O’Reilly would stand for that, usually) to say….”except for the $500,000,000,000 that Obama took from Medicare” (which is NOT true).

The part that made me gag is that they staged it as if Hume was educating O’Reilly. I guess O’Reilly doesn’t include his own research in his reporting. I gets in the way of molesting the hired help.

    Yeah….centrist reporting……LOL

  49. sozo – no surprise but what you call nonsense most rational people call the truth.

  50. Hill- only lie I have seen posted today (ignoring meno’s post) is from you. Bush is to blame for
F and F? Come on, be better than this. You know there is zero truth to that statement.

I look forward to your spin…. Blame him for solyndra again too.

Is this really the best you have? Shameful.

  51. Who said the terrorist inspired/directed Maj was not a citizen? Why do you lie? Be better, Mr Hill. Show the world progressives are not just emotional liars and clowns.

100rds is a fact. Try google.

  52. I for one am outraged about the wetness of water and the blueness of the sky. I am also outraged that the FAA lacks the authority to regulate the flocks of flying pigs and that the EPA lacks the authority to control the skittles flatulence of unicorns.

I am outraged by the lack of outrage over outrageous outrages.

  53. sevenstrokeroll says:

I think the author meant to say “contrived faux outrage”. Regardless, it’s a Holiday week and I simply don’t have the time or energy to muster up fake outrage at a silly, politically motivated smear. And where was this faux outrage when Bush used his executive privilege? I know, I know…Bush is both white and republiCON.

  54. LeePHill says:

I havew just a few words, CT…..operation wide reciever

  55. LeePHill says:

I love your link, Ct – it’s a half truth. You’re 50% of the way there

  56. sandblower says:

I’ll ask the author and all his supporters to please show us the legitimate indictments for the corrupt practices being alleged. If they are so obvious, the indictments must be obvious too. Short of some proof beyond hyperbolic rhetoric, the extreme right’s claims are total nonsense.

  57. CT7, then half that was not true according to Poltifact is the part that says Obama took $500 billion from Medicare. What they rasted as true is that the savings from Medicare, not a “take” will help fund the ACA.

The other laughable exercise that Fox News kept soaring into more and more hyperbole was a statement that started out as “ACA is the biggest tax hike in the USA in the last 20 years”, to the biggest tax hike in the US ever, to the biggest tax hike in the world to the biggest tax hike in the universe.

Even assuming that 10% of the population will opt out of insurance and pay the tax penalty, (in Massachusetts it is less than 1%) it is far below Reagan’s tax hikes or GHW Bush’s tax hikes, to name a couple.

You gotta love the clown news that people who watch Fox get.

  58. MrCarleone says:

    Ahhh Dean !

Once again you have embarrassed yourself, and proven that you certainly are not the brightest bulb in the pack !

  59. jtarleton says:

If the legislators can’t do their job someone has to Stepup and lead.don’t like healthcare as is ?….legislatively change it. Same goes for immigration. You may not like what obamas admin is doing but at least theres movement and controversy is being created to bring our problems/issues to the forefront

  60. aislander says:

Does anyone notice a powerful and obnoxious odor of k****r in this thread?

  61. Spreading manure the way Dean John Artis is doing will keep independents away from Gods Own Party. The GOP has no other solutions than to throw mud. Stay in that gutter and keep tuned to Fox. We’ll see how that will work for you in November.

  62. Just thinking the same thing Aislander. For the record, I do not resent Kathy Griffin.I am nauseated by her, and I believe she is a manifestation of a society that’s swirling down the drain.

xring, calling something true does not make it true. I realize this is a leap for the liberally educated, and yet it’s a fact.

Go do your homework and tell us how much charitable work has been done, how many sick, homeless and weary have been helped in the name of Christ by … wait for it…Christians? It will take you a long time to tally it all up, but you appear to have the time, so I implore you…do it and get back to us.

or,don’t let facts get in the way of YOUR non-sense.

  63. LeePHill says:

less than one round of golf a week is a problem??????????

  64. LeePHill says:

No resentment///just the need to bring her up in blogs that have nothing to do with entertainment or her personally

    I get it

  65. SwordofPerseus says:

Conc7 said, “SOP, so the failure of BHOs economy is the fault of Fox News? Fox made Fast and Furious happen? Fox used executive privilege? Fox played 100 rounds of golf?”

No Conc the failure of the economy is the fault of the obstructionist do nothing rebulicon leadership in the house and senate, namely Mitch McConnell and John Boehner.

No Conc7 the failure of the economy is the fault of teabaggers who threaten to send the country into credit default, smearing our otherwise perfect credit rating.

No Conc, Fast and Furious was not caused by Fox, just over-hyped, to inflame people such as Took14 and you specifically. Fast and Furious started out as Project Gunrunner in 2007 conceived by the Phoenix branch of the ATF. It was originally conceived and approved of in the former (Bush) administration. When Holder became aware of the operation he ordered the operation to stop…

No Conc Fox cannot use executive privilege, only the president of the USA can, check your Constitution, it is a legal right of the POTUS, get over it. Bush used executive privilege 6 times to stifle congressional inquires, sound familiar? Cue the outrage!

Conc I don’t know how many rounds of golf Fox played, I guess since FOX is a person it can play golf if it wants to. By the same token Obama is free to spend his leisure time golfing or shooting hoops or whatever to relieve stress. I don’t begrudge him his exercise, or choice of sport. Obama seems more athletic and younger than the former POTUS, oh that’s right he is…

  66. SwordofPerseus says:

‘slander-I don’t smell anything, maybe your having a stroke.

  67. aislander says:

My what is having a stroke, HackerofJellyfish?

  68. CT7 loses another one to the truth.

The ATF began PROJECT Gunrunner was developed in Laredo, Texas, in 2005 and expanded it as a national initiative in 2006. [Note - this would be while Bush was President].
Fast and Furious, Gunwalker, or gun walker, were Operations under Project Gunrunner, were based in Arizona, and included ATF, IRS, and ICE.

There is ample evidence that many aspects of Gunwalker were not approved by the DOJ, but were carried out by the rogue elements in the various local offices of the participating agencies without the knowledge are consent of the National Leadership

  69. More Bush blame. Cute.

Wide Reciever was similar, but stopped under the Bush admin. Try again. In case you want to learn a thing or two and stop the lies, http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/ATF_gunwalking_scandal#section_2

SoP, best thing for the US right now is blocking BHOs big spending, failed leftist policy. Since Harry will not pass a budget, and Nancy ignored her duty, we will have to wait. But the House passed a budget, providing business and individuals with visibility.

  70. Frankenchrist are you still looking for those WMDs that Saddam used on the Kurds? Oh! that’s right he didn’t have WMD’s did he. jeeeez!

  71. menopaws says:

Hey there—good people like Harry and the Sword…..Save your breath…….You are speaking to a crowd that lives on slogans and spin….their brains can’t compose a paragraph, much less read one….their lips get too tired…..Just move on to other sites—there are actually conservative bloggers on Politico who make intelligent comments!!!!! There are intelligent conservatives to be found who enjoy discussing issues without name calling and insults…….Like I said–this crowd: mean is all they got……..

  72. menopaws, off your meds again?

  73. Still waiting for those stats, xring.

    About composing a paragraph…?

  74. beerBoy says:

For the record, I do not resent Kathy Griffin.I am nauseated by her, and I believe she is a manifestation of a society that’s swirling down the drain.

You know sozo, I like you. But sometimes it is very difficult not to perceive you as a stereotype of a judgmental, mean, pinch-faced church-lady.

  75. took14theteam says:

    Isn’t that special…

  76. Those evil, scary church-ladies!!!

  77. menopaws says:

NO frosty–I just visit other sites where people are smarter, kinder and generally worthy of respect regardless of their politics….It’s a club you will never be invited to……..Watching all of you bully people with ideas instead of spin just makes me realize that when my friends make fun of the “dim bulbs” of Pierce County–they must read some of these postings…Stay stupid and know that many treat your postings as comedy……..

  78. SwordofPerseus says:

    Thanks menopaws.

Conc~not sure you understand what drives the “economy”, so you can’t understand how to “fix” it. Suffice it to say that it, the economy, is irreparably broken. The free market capitalist system is doomed to failure simply because it is predicated on continual growth within a finite system. That is what is known as unsustainable, and we are near the end of the run. The main reason we are near the end of the run you ask? Two words – Peak Oil. Ummmmmmmmkay, class dismissed.

  79. CT7,
The evil Bush’s policies created live on to this day.
Operation Wide Receiver was ended BUT other Bush Era Gunwalking scams under Project Gunrunner was not ended until AFTER Obama took office.

What stats? Have you been nipping the cooking sherry again?

  80. I thought you were going to go findo out how much time, talent and money those nasty Christians have donated to help the poor and marginalized? You were pretty quick to indict them for their lack of compassion earlier, xring.

I like you too, bBoy, though you confound and irritate me at times. My face isn’t pinched; I laugh a lot and have a particular fondness for abit of irreverent humor actually.

But, my world view is most definitely influenced by my reading of the Bible, especially as I read the narratives about societies that turned their back on God.

  81. menopaws, oh, you mean you visit sites such as Huff-Puff Post, Media Matters, where all of the “learned and elite” liberals hang out? You remind me of a camel returning to the well to load up on a new load of water. Perhaps you should impress your “friends” with your wealth of intelligence by dropping out of this forum because it insults your intellect. tsk. tsk. tsk.

  82. sozo, Christians give between 85%-90% of their charitable giving to their church. 78% of that amount goes for administrative costs and other costs associated with that church. Of the rest, 10% goes for missions, education and “educational” campaigns, mainly anti-abortion, anti-communist, anti-gay marriage, etc.

That leaves about 12% going to other not-for-profits which may or may not include help for “poor and marginalized”.
