CRIME: Lowlifes breaking in to cars at Spanaway Lake Park

My wife and I have often enjoyed our evening walks in Spanaway Lake Park, however the many auto break-ins of late have caused us to curtail these walks.

After a friend’s car had her window smashed and seeing the many glass remnants of other car break-ins in the parking lots, we became more careful. We removed all valuables from sight and thought this would deter the random criminals.

No such luck. When returning from our walk on June 28, we found that our rear window had been smashed. Nothing was stolen because there was nothing to steal. So we send a warning to all citizens using this park: Be aware that once you leave your car unattended, it may encounter a lowlife just waiting to do damage and theft.

Since the park charges a parking fee, some of those funds could be used to provide at least some security. Sadly, we will no longer use this fine park for our walks.
