MILITARY: Useless study on soldiers’ children

Re: “Deployment can affect children’s academic work” (TNT, 6-24).

I see that a study has been done revealing that children of military parents on deployment do less well in school than their peers.

How many millions of dollars did the government spend to learn what has been known for decades, that children with single-parent homes normally do less well academically than those where two parents are present?

Now, if the study had only been done to come up with a solution to the problem that would have been sensible. But how stupid of me to expect the government to do something sensible.
