TRAGEDY: Where’s outrage over hazing incident?

When Trayvon Martin was shot, many in our country came together to protest and show solidarity for the family.

Why hasn’t this happened for Robert Champion, the drum major who died after being hazed? That too is a tragedy! Why is his death not being protested all over the country? Is it because the color of the perpetrators’ skin? Where is the outrage?

Both are horrible tragedies, why don’t we treat them the same way? The “hoodie” became a symbol for Trayvon. Where is the symbol for Robert?

Why haven’t all the drum majors in the country marched in protest?

  1. beerBoy says:

Nope – the outrage was due to the fact that we all knew who killed Trayvon and the cops weren’t doing anything about it.

Regarding Robert Champion – from what I have heard the cops/prosecuters are actively investigating the case.

Let’s ignore the claims of racism and profiling. Rewriting history. Nice.

What did I miss here? I read the article about Robert Champion and race was not mentioned anywhere.

  4. Steve – stick to the facts or join FrankBurns’ group.

The uprising about Trayvon Martin was due to lack of investigation by the police. That was not the case about the hazing incident.

  5. Steve….I also note that you refer to Martin as “shot” not “killed”.

    Your issues are showing.

  6. “The “hoodie” became a symbol for Trayvon. Where is the symbol for Robert?”

Maybe you can get Geraldo Rivera (dubbed Gerendo Revolver years ago by Cheech and Chong) to say something equally as stupid about a drum majors baton as he did about hoodies.

Thanks for your help, Steve, but we need Rivera’s stupidity also.
