Brooks’ observation about the 2012 presidential race is spot on. Rush Limbaugh and Keith Olbermann might as well be running for the highest office in the land.
Campaign heads must have a pretty low opinion of the electorate to think this approach will work. Well, guess what? So far there’s nothing that proves them wrong. Apparently Machiavellian theory still prevails.
