TACOMA DOME: Parking situtation is inadequate

We had six tickets to the Jeff Dunham show at the Tacoma Dome on Saturday night. We were in the event parking line at 7 p.m. for a show scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. We finally left the event parking line at 8:30 p.m. when we could see that there was still a mile or two of cars stuck in the same line.

Ticketmaster won’t refund for unusable tickets but suggested that we contact Tacoma Dome management with our complaint about inadequate event parking facilities. I have sent a complaint but suspect that there will not be a reply.

Can the Tacoma City Council pass an ordinance prohibiting the booking of events with an expected audience of 2,000 or more people? There are only 1,600 parking spots available at the Tacoma Dome.
