CONTRACEPTIVES: Does church get to pay less for insurance?

Will an insurance company write a policy providing contraceptive coverage for a religious organization’s staff, but not charge for the cost? If so, President Obama has made law establishing preferential treatment for religious organizations and we will pay more for insurance coverage so that the church doesn’t have to pay.

There was a time when some states compelled non-church members to financially support the church, but this would be the first time the federal government has attempted to do the same.

  1. ManuelMartini says:

Ken – careful. You’ll pull your arms out of the socket reaching that far.

  2. Contraceptive care is an overall health care cost reducer even when it is free. And nobody is being forced to use it or pay for it.
All this is republican spin over nothing; a ghost conspiracy.
The Catholic Church wants to influence government policy by contradicting the Constitution.
