CRIME: Discourage vehicle theft; don’t buy stolen parts

It was horrible to read about the Christmas Day theft of Laurie Meade’s ice cream truck (TNT, 12-30), which was used to supplement her income and help support her family. My family member’s Mazda truck was stolen Christmas Eve.

Instead of being Santa’s elves and helping those less fortunate, Satan’s helpers were stealing from others.

Meade believes her ice cream truck will be stripped for parts as most likely are most stolen vehicles. Discourage thievery: Don’t buy stolen parts.

My family member’s truck was not used as a source of income but had sentimental value as it was previously owned by a late family member. So be very leery of buying Mazda truck parts as they may have been stripped from our family’s stolen truck.

How do people live with themselves knowing they have caused grief for others due to their own selfish greed? What goes around comes around.
