TACOMA: Were 700 voters so ill-informed?

Someone please tell me how Robert Hill (aka The Traveler) received 700-plus votes in Tacoma’s District 3. It’s hard for me to believe that many people are not informed of Hill’s ongoing personal problems.

Was it just that many people having a good laugh when casting their vote for Hill or maybe trying to send another message to the City of Tacoma on getting the budget and spending under control?

Maybe the answer is that voters are stupid. This would explain Obama and all the school levies which Tacoma voters keep approving.

  2. smthompson says:

I, too, was surprised! I fear the votes reveal a seriously uninformed electorate. Last time I checked, a person who is often in court for uncontrolled behaviours had received 22% of the vote. Maybe there should be a requirement that people read the daily paper to qualify to vote…

  3. alindasue says:

This is what happens when people vote straight anti-incumbent without paying attention to who the incumbent is running against.

  4. blakeshouse says:

BSR you hit the nail on the head!!!! With the idiotic people elected lately it is no surprise that such a fool could garner 22% of the vote. Especially in this state with its recall ripoffs putting an unqualified blunderer in the highest state office and electing the socialist-in-tennis shoes over and over. But hey it can all be traced back to the indoctrination camps that pass as schools in this gulag

  5. NickDixon says:

We just watched a majority of voters emotionally hand a wad of cash over to the private sector on the basis (in their minds) that the state shouldn’t make a profit on something and fund programs with said profits.

Between that and the Pied Piper routine that voters play with Eyman, nothing surprises me.

  6. nonstopjoe says:

People were ticked off at the clueless opponant taking an Arizona junket.

  7. smthompson says:

Wow. Two comments from people who only know how to use a platform to post insults. Another disappointment… One comment from a writer who understands that the incumbent, did, indeed, show she should be voted out of office as soon as possible.

  8. olympicmtn says:

One candidate has no brain and the other candidate claims to have no brain. I see no difference.

  9. sandblower says:

So we know now that if things don’t go the way Dick and Blake wish, it’s because the voters are stupid. I think there just might be another message there.

  10. SwordofPerseus says:

Mixing Dick and Blake is like mixing oil and water, not a good mix. Dick made no mention of stupidity, only a lack of surprise at the electoral outcome.

Blake and Richard on the other hand consistently use pejorative and disparaging comments. I believe by their comments that neither Blake nor BigR could scratch their backside with a handful of fish hooks.
