Having known Jim Fossos for many years I regard his knowledge and skills to be exceptional as a South King Fire & Rescue commissioner these past 17 years. He understands the fire business with 31 years’ experience.
Jim has dedicated years serving on civic boards and commissions, and he’s been an advocate for the citizens of South King. So, when you need to decide on the right candidate to insure the well-being of your fire department, that it’s run with the strongest leadership and best strategies, you can count on Jim. He’s someone who represents the homeowners and businesses in Federal Way and Des Moines.
His opponent, Jerry Galland, has had no public service. He ran for precinct committee officer in 2008 and was not elected. He ran for the state Legislature in 2010 and lost in the primary. He applied for an open seat on the Lakehaven utility board of commissioners and was not seated. When he ran for the state Legislature he received the lowest rating possible by the Municipal League of King County (not qualified). It sure makes you wonder about his qualifications.
Now Galland wants to be a fire commissioner. We certainly don’t need someone with that track record in this important position.
Tough times require experience and strong leadership. That’s why I have confidence in Fossos and trust him to make the right decisions regarding our emergency services. Please join me in re-electing Jim Fossos.
