PIERCE COUNTY: Waller Road traffic an issue

Since Waller Road has become a detour for 176th Street East, many issues have arisen.

Starting at 5 a.m., we have cars blaring through our neighborhood at high speeds with radios blasting. We are picking up litter on a daily basis which has never been an issue. Our neighbors’ dogs have also escaped being hit by a car a few times.

We do not ride horses on our road because of people driving recklessly. One of the worst offenders are the big trucks carrying supplies to Waller and Canyon roads.

We would like to invite local law enforcement to sit on Waller and write tickets. Since these tickets are double since it is a work zone, we will have enough money for education in about a week.

Be respectful of our homes and families. We work hard to have a peaceful living. We live here and pay taxes. How would you feel if we drove like this in your neighborhood?
