Re: “Unfortunately, president has succeeded” (letter, 8-20).

I understand completely why The News Tribune allowed this writer to pour out her Rush Limbaugh talking points. It gives those with a sense of fairness and neutrality a look at how blinded ideology can shape one’s thinking.

There is no doubt that portions of America are feeling this recession, but to lay the entire spectrum of problems at President Obama’s feet is sheer nonsense and unbridled hyperbole.

The writer’s Limbaugh talking points were weak at best, but the last statement was the weakest, in which she tries to convince her readers that she had an epiphany about Obama and decided that casting a no vote would somehow show her “black friends and acquaintances” that she and Limbaugh knew well in advance what was going to happen to the economy.

Penning pomposity with no facts shows one’s lack of objective thinking and independence.
