WASHAM: Commenters’ anti-Farris vitriol is misdirected

Every time a new story appears regarding the Dale Washam recall effort, without fail a couple of folks jump to The News Tribune’s website in order to spew their vitriol of unsubstantiated claims and hate towards Robin Farris, who organized the recall.

They fail, again and again, to recognize that the claims against Washam were brought forward based on outside, unbiased investigations and were found to have merit by the state Supreme Court.

They try, again and again, to make this recall about Farris. This action has nothing to do with her and everything to do with Washam. No person made him do what he has done. The decision to violate Pierce County code and just plain good business practice along with common courtesy for the workers in the assessor-treasurer’s office was his and his alone.

Come on. Give us a break.
    .
Dale Washam isn’t the one out there throwing nasty names and accusations. It’s Farris and her questionable crew along with the few whining Assessor crybabies.

  2. puyallupmutt says:

What is the issue with waiting 12 months for normal politics to run its course? Washam will be gone by the end of next year.

The concept of having Bush and that wanker McDonald on the County Council select someone to fill out his term is more obscene.

Washam was a freak of an election algorithm gone awry (now fixed). But its far better than having 4 dimwits on the PC Council select someone else for a few months.

  3. gerry0416 says:

It looks like the Trib and their ignorant toady Farris will get their recall. Hopefully, the people of the county will vote to keep the person that they voted for in office.

  4. Outsider_looking_in says:

Wow Gordon…looks like your comment was wasted on these four pillars of the community. They probably didn’t even vote in the last election.

  5. Dear_John says:

Just follow the lead lemming over the cliff, outsider. People who are smart enough to see through this ruse ARE pillars in the community. Thanks for at least recognizing that. Now if only more people would investigate the truth, and make informed votes. Sadly, most will just follow what someone told them, like you do. Then gloat that they are civic minded, clueless as to what they even voted for.

  6. To the original letter writer: the thing with a cult, is the leader is generally a megalomaniac who demands (not “COMMANDS”) respect and diehard loyalty. Those caught in waves of rage lose all reason and logic, and thus the effects. A human is not functional without reason and logic, and only with rage.

  7. Gordon, I’m with you. Heck this is the first petition I’ve signed in years.

With mix emotions, I will be voting Washam out of office.

It’s great that he’s got the Pierce county assessor’s office back to following the law, but he’s a bully. As such, we taxpayers can’t afford to keep him in office.

Frankly, if he hadn’t let his mental illness get the best of him, he probably could have had the job as long as he wanted.

  8. gerry0416 says:

Outsider_looking_in, I did vote in the last election along with every other election.

  9. PumainTacoma says:

Better yet when the Puyallup Real Estate scams hit the headliine news in less than 6 months we will want Washam to remain in office. Waiting for more on the news front regarding the connect the dot friends of PC Commercial Bank and the people who are related in laws, board of directors of the famous threesome.

  10. stradivari says:

Dale Washam needs to be removed from the assessor’s office as soon as possible. As our employee, we must not allow him to run rough shod over his professional staff who will be winning $millions in settlements caused by his unethical behavior. All civic minded fair citizens should sign recall petitions and then vote him out.

  11. Kevindot1 says:

Don’t worry Gordon. More people support her and the recall Washam campaign, than are against. I signed the petition.
