EATONVILLE: Negative comments leave a bad taste

After reading our Go (TNT, 7-5), we felt we needed to share our opinion.

The article about the Eatonville Art Festival was very accurate and inviting. We thank you for the excellent exposure and publicity of a grand little annual event.

Our concern was the comment about Jebino’s Restaurant. We are not relatives, nor do we own any part of this establishment. We wondered where in Pierce County you can find a restaurant with the Rat Pack decor, memorabilia or theme? To call the restaurant “chain restaurant decor” is really misleading and offending.

These are the same owners that support and donate entire meals to every fund-raiser in our community.

To say the restaurant offers “mediocre Italian fare” is an injustice to the family-owned community favorite. It is our opinion that their gorgonzola chicken is one of the best in the area, as is their pizza. Not to mention the fantastic entertainment.

During these difficult economic times, to only negatively review Jebino’s seems highly unfair. The article mentioned several other eateries and only gave a negative opinion of Jebino’s.

Thanks again for informing our community of the art festival, but we were saddened to see the negative review of Jebino’s.
