GOP: Run, Sarah, run – and make those liberals squirm

Letter by Ronald A. Petitte, Federal Way on May 31, 2011 at 12:37 pm with 191 Comments »

Re: “Palin’s ego trip stealing spotlight from real candidates” (Eugene Robinson column, 5-31).

Well, it didn’t take long for the far-left media attack machines to launch their attacks on Sarah Palin. Her decision to take a bus tour with her family across the nation has sent the far-left cable channels and liberal columnists in orbit.

They all say they are hoping that Palin decides to run as she would be the easiest candidate for President Obama to beat. I would caution them to be careful what you wish for; she just might make you sorry she decided to run.

They are worried that she is taking the spotlight away from the establishment Republicans running for president. It’s always amusing watching and reading the advice far-left folks in the media like to give to possible Republican candidates.

You can be sure that Tim Pawlenty and Mitt Romney lie awake at night reading advice from liberal columnists so they can beat Obama in his bid for a second term.

I don’t remember Eugene Robinson lamenting over the Rev. Jesse Jackson or the Rev. Al Sharpton taking the spotlight from their Democratic opponents when they ran for president some years back.

  1. I hope she runs. God, I hope she runs.

  2. KARDNOS says:

The Little One doesn’t know the difference between squirming and laughter.

The problem is that Palin can even get her own party to award her the nomination, now that they know who she really is.

    Quit, Sarah Quit!

  3. Publico says:

The scarry part is understanding that there a lot of folks out there who would actually vote for her. Bush’s ranking could rocket up to second -to-the -last.

  4. Roncella says:

Polago, I do too !!! But wheather she runs or not any one of the Republicans that have announced they are running would be an improvement over having Obama/Biden 4 More Years, God help us all.

  5. KARDNOS says:

yeah….Pawlenty, who didn’t fix a bridge when told to and a bunch a people got killed, would be a great improvement.

Mitt, of course, endorses Health Care Reform and is now trying to run away from the legislation he passed because his party doesn’t like Obama……now THERE is some real honesty and dedication for you…..

Let’s elect Newt. He is such a moral character……

With the Palin book coming out (not the fluff book, but a real biography) she’s toast.

  6. KARDNOS says:

Let’s talk some truth about Sarah Palin –

    1. She was the Mayor of a town in Alaska that has less population than some housing developments in major cities.

    2. She took 6 years and 5 schools to get a Communications degree which is usually handed to college athletes so that they’ll have something to do after their pro careers.

    3. She was elected Governor of Alaska, which has less population and less infrastructure than the City of Seattle. The two biggest things she did was set up a socialist structure of taking money from oil companies and giving it to citizens and quitting before completing her term, without being elected to another position. Said state is the second largest suckage of Federal tax money in the United States.

    4. She endorsed teenaged sleepovers and the result was a daughter with child out of wedlock.

    5. She claims to have moral superiority over Obama, whose daughers are wonderful.

    6. Her husband was part of an organization supporting secession Alaska from the United States, but she makes statements about “palling around with terrorists” with are false.

There’s a half dozen. I’m sure others have contributions.

  7. sue1234 says:

    LOL Polago my thoughts exactly!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE CHOSE PALIN AS THE REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE..

  8. Palin/Trump WooooHooooo!!

  9. Roncella says:

Poor Sue1234, she’s so bitter and miserable about life.

Eespecially watching a lady with class and intelligence and leadership skills.

Sorry Sue, but Sarah Palin has already accomplished more in her young life than you will if you live to be a 200.

  10. Roncella says:

Polago, You too seem struck by the very thought of Sarah Palin running for President, As I have warned many other Liberal/progressive dems.

BeWare What You Wish For !!!! You Maybe Sorry When the Votes Are Counted.

  11. roncella, you do know that your little hero palin has been an abject failure at everything she has tried don’t you?
She even failed at being Gov.

Saying that I too hope like all heck she does run, maybe then when the President mopps the floor with her and she loses by record setting margins you teahaddists will figure it out.
    I doubt it but…….

  12. KARDNOS says:

OK….folks…here we go……the Conservative personal attacks on commenters have begun. Less than 10 comments into the thread.

I wonder how long it will take them to whine if someone responds to their personal insults?

  13. KARDNOS says:

“(CNN) Mitt Romney and Sarah Palin sit atop a new poll in the battle for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination.

The Gallup survey, released Thursday, was the first national poll conducted following the announcements by Mike Huckabee and Donald Trump that they would not run for the White House and partially before and after Mitch Daniels’ announcement that he also would not make a bid for his party’s nomination.

According to the survey, 17 percent of Republicans and GOP leaning independents say they would support Romney and 15 percent say they would back Palin for their party’s nomination.”

tied for first and neither is above 20%. Embarrassing.

  14. LarryFine says:

Sarah is living in some of your minds rent free… in fact, you and Eug (among others) are helping her make bank.
It’s comical to watch… it’s like watching your dog stare at a shiny object moving about while the cat sneaks up pounces.
Unfortunately I won’t be able to pick the democrat or republican candidate. :(

  15. KARDNOS says:

LarryFine – and Michael Moore is making millions because people just having to see his movies to see what you are complaining about.

  16. KARDNOS says:

”I think on a national level your Department of Law there in the White House would look at some of the things that we’ve been charged with and automatically throw them out.”
—Sarah Palin, referring to a department that does not exist while attempting to explain why as president she wouldn’t be subjected to the same ethics investigations that compelled her to resign as governor of Alaska, ABC News interview, July 7, 2009

You know. Sometimes it’s so easy, it’s just not fair……

  17. Ithappened2me2 says:

KDL’s parents quote Britney Spears: “Oops! I did it again”

  18. KARDNOS says:

::::::don’t respond to infantile taunts from Conservatives::::::

They get their feelings hurt and tell their mommy to contact the media

Quoting Britney Spears is an indicator to culture and intellect.

  19. ItalianSpring says:

    Palin is HOT!!!!

  20. bobcat1a says:

Palin can’t be worse than Bush. Roger Ailes has plenty of hired guns to run the show. An empty suit is an empty suit, regardless of what sex animates it.

  21. bobcat1a says:

ItalianSpring, agreed, assuming you mean toxic when you say hot.

  22. “a lady with class and intelligence and leadership skills”

    More like a lady who:
Cannot remember what newspaper she reads.

Thanks she can see Russia from the south coast of Alaska.

Quit her office half way through her one and only term.

IMO: She will never again be elected to any public office.

  23. fbergford says:

SInce all of you like bashing Palin…what are your thoughts on Hillary Clinton or Geraldine Ferraro? It seems to me that maybe you all have a complex of women in authoritative positions…and all this time I thought Democrats were the “progressive” ones…just saying…

  24. LarryFine says:

    LOL… she’s melding their minds. It’s a kick really.

    Michael who ?

  25. fbergford – since when is telling the truth about Palin “bashing”.

As to Ferraro and Hillary – brilliant women with track records to match.

I understand why Conservative politicians don’t pay attention to their constituents. With comments like “Palin’s hot”, they must think all voters are ignorant.

  26. “Ithappened2me2 says:

Did someone get their pp whacked?

It ain’t me that whined about having to change names because they were banned.

Conprehending sarcasm isn’t your strong suit, is it, IT?

You don’t notice me referring to the moderators as “nanny’s”. That is reserved for those that try to operate outside their terms of service and get what’s coming to them.

If “you know who” really wanted me to get slapped, they would avoid telling the world their former screen name that the moderator banned to the point that no comment will appear if you type that series of letters on the forum.

I think the TNT moderators mean business when they take action, but of course, you already know about that.

  27. I stayed away from reading all these entries for a couple of of weeks. Do you realize how boring you are with the endless taunts and name calling?

  28. ah yes…another personality to whine with….

  29. Sarah Palin took 6 years and five schools to complete a BA in journalism.

Starting in 2005, Bristol Palin attended Juneau-Douglas High School and began dating Levi Johnston.[8][9] In 2008 she moved to Anchorage to live with her aunt and uncle and attend West Anchorage High School. She returned to Wasilla and graduated from Wasilla High School in May 2009. Palin became a single mother at age 18.

Then there are the Clinton women –

Hillary Rodham first attracted national attention in 1969 for her remarks as the first student commencement speaker at Wellesley College. She embarked on a career in law after graduating from Yale Law School in 1973.

Chelsea Clinton attended public schools there until her father’s election to the Presidency of the United States at which time she attended and graduated from the private Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C. She continued her undergraduate education at Stanford University and earned master’s degrees from University College, Oxford, and Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree at the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service at New York University.

I’ll not add Ms Ferraro to the list and pile on while Sarah and spawn are looking so bad in comparison.

  30. “LarryFine says:

Sarah is living in some of your minds rent free… ”

Except for the cost of the PR people that keep her in the news media, trampling over the top of her fellow Republicans presidential announcements. It must be nice to be “regular folks” and have a public relations team to keep you in the media and to spend a million dollars on a vanity movie about your life, which has been little to nothing to date.

If that is “rent free”, I should be charging rent at those rates.

  31. alindasue says:

Even without all the various other reasons I feel that Sarah Palin is not qualified for president, there is one reason above the others that is the total deal breaker for me – the reason I wouldn’t vote for her even if she was otherwise qualified:

She doesn’t have the temperament to handle the pressures of the job.

This from the Huffington Post, dated July 4, 2009, when she announced her resignation from the position of Alaska Governor: “Palin offered few clues about her ambitions but said she arrived at her decision in part to protect her family, which has faced withering criticism and occasional mockery…”

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/07/03/AR2009070301738.html

To be president of the United States is to suffer “occasional mockery” from the press on a regular basis, no matter what political party you belong to. It means less than flattering pictures of your face on The National Enquirer. It means every social miss-step or gaff becomes front page news.

And your family is not immune either. Whether it be partying with the Nixon girls, or “Billy Beer” with Jimmy Carter’s brother, or Michelle Obama hugging a queen. It’s all front page news fodder.

So, if Ms. Palin does manage to win the vote for president (doubtful, but stranger things have happened…), what is she going to do when the press starts giving her attention outside her carefully planned publicity stunts. Is she going to be able to handle her family facing that “occasional mockery” or would she again quit before her term is up “to protect her family”?

  32. alindasue says:

correction: The quote in my above comment was from the Washington Post, not the Huffington Post.

  33. KARDNOS says:

    alindasue:

Palin isn’t capable of running for President because she refuses to be interviewed by the “Lame Stream Media”, which serves the majority of Americans

    FOX cannot get her elected.

  34. alindasue says:

KARDNOS said, “Palin isn’t capable of running for President because she refuses to be interviewed by the “Lame Stream Media”, which serves the majority of Americans”

That’s exactly what I was talking about. She likes lots of attention, but only on her terms. That doesn’t happen when one is President. The President of the United States and his or her family are in the public eye constantly. She would have to deal with the “bad press” as well as the “good”.

She’s already shown us that she can’t handle that pressure.

  35. Bill Clinton once bragged about having fun in the back of his Chevy El Camino, with a piece of carpet in it. Has anyone ever asked Hillary how she liked the carpet? Maybe while your at it, you can asked the appropriately named, Anthony WEINER about tweeting photos of his (should I say it)?

  36. Roncella says:

You Liberals are so far left its surprising you can stand up straight at all.

Think, think, think, for a min. Does President Obama appear on Fox News ever, no of course not, if he did he might actually have to answer questions without his Tele-prompter givning him answers.

Obama is smart enought to realize as long as he appears on friendly media only the will never ask him any difficult questions.
Some will just continue to get tingles up and down their legs when Obama speaks.

If Sarah decides not to run she will be a powerhouse in helping Republicans get the Senate back.

Should President Obama win a second term, he would have alot time on his hands for playing basketball, golfing, vacations, parties at the Whitehouse every weds night. Reason being Republicans will be in total control of the House and the Senate. They will control spending and hopefully help straighten out the country before its totally bankrupt.

By the way alindasue, Sarah Palin has been attacked along with her family more than any other women. She is nothing more than a plain spoken person, who loves her family and shows it, she has been a wife a mother a Mayor, Governor, and V.P. Candidate, Political Commentator.

Why liberal women are so threatened by her is so strange. Non of the liberal far left womens organizations come to her defense on personal attacks by the media and others.

  37. OK, Roncella. Let’s get this straight. You write a letter to the editor about your hero, Sarah Palin, with the inflammatory heading, “GOP: Run, Sarah, run – and make those liberal squirm.” (Notice that the TNT didn’t fix your little grammatical error for you)

Then, when I comment, which I’m apt to do, you project your little feelings onto me when you respond with, “Polago, You too seem struck by the very thought of Sarah Palin running for President, As I have warned many other Liberal/progressive dems.” (more grammatical issues)

If I’m struck by anything, Roncella, I’m struck by the shallowness of those who would support the likes of Palin or Trump, who may appeal to the far Right, and are not necessarily bad people, but are both barely more than media whores in the minds of the majority.

Beware of what you wish for, Roncella. She lost the race for McCain. She doesn’t appeal to your average voter. She’s a loser.

So, I say, “Run, Sarah, Run”, and take Trump with you.

    Make me squirm.

  38. Roncella says:

polago, The News Tribune added the phase ” and make those liberals squirm”, to my letter. Your wrong again.

If I am struck by anything its that after two years of Obama/Biden over 9% unemployement, destroyed housing market, Libya involvement, gas at over 4.00 a gallon, the dollar getting weaker every day(=less buying power for all of us) anyone could still vote for more of the same from Obama/Biden.

Wheather Palin runs or not she is a powerful force for Conservatism. She will be a big help in assisting Republicans in gaining control of the Senate. With Republicans controling both the Senate and the House, Obama will have lot of free time to Golf and vacation should he win another 4 years in the Whitehouse.

Media, Whores, WoW, What a nasty mean description, for a caring liberal as you say you are to describe folks you don’t agree with.

  39. Do you really think that by my use of the accepted term “media whore” I was actually referring to Palin as a whore in the sense that she is a prostitute, Roncella?

    Grow up.

  40. It seems unlikely that the News Tribune added that phrase to your heading, as the word squirm is nowhere in your letter, but I’ll take your word for it, even though it has Roncella written all over it.

  41. Roncella says:

Polago, Yes lots of small minded people in this World for sure, palago.

Just because its used by some I would never use it to describe folks I disagreed with, its a mean, nasty way to go after those whom you disagree with.

  42. It’s not about whether one agrees with the person or not, Roncella. The term media whore has a specific meaning. Look it up.

You just want to make a big deal out of my using the word whore. Notice that I included Trump in that description.

  43. Roncella says:

Polago, I think I understand now. For Example would you also describe KARDNOS as a poster Whore with his many posts that appear here ??

  44. Only if you included you and me in that description, Roncella.

  45. steilacoomtaxpayer says:

Palin seeks attention, as does Trump. It pays big dividends. Alindasue has pegged it, Plain has no toughness for office, if you don’t want criticism you don’t want to even try out for that office. She is now famous becuase one man, once but not at all anymore, a great GOP candidate put her in the spotlight. She did what a small town girl would do, she ran for the light. She can see Russia, quits the gov’ office because she is tired ofthe effort, and ya’ll want to have her run for Pres of the US? Only if you are an Obama supporter.

  46. LarryFine says:

Polago, if someone referred to Obama as the boy president do think people would actually think … never mind.

How’s my spelling and sentence structure ?

  47. Roncella says:

Steilsc, Your post as some good points. She may seek attention but you have to agree the Main/lame stream Media just can’t get enough of Palin, they go out of control in covering every single comment she makes, to following her Bus Tour across the Nation, keep in mind Sarah has a following.

Sarah Palin will play a roll during the debates and in assisting other Conservatives in taking the Senate back to Republican Control.

One more point, about having experience for the job. President Obama had a weak to poor back gound in experience to be President. He is learning on the Job surrounded by seasoned politicians and experts as so many others before him had to.do.

  48. yabetchya says:

Kardnos is a poster whore ! Polago said so !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  49. KARDNOS says:

“Sarah Palin will play a roll during the debates and in assisting other Conservatives in taking the Senate back to Republican Control.”

Play a role in the debates????????

“I know I’m not going to answer the questions the way the moderator wants me to, or the way Sen. Biden wants me to…..”

  50. KARDNOS says:

“Polago, if someone referred to Obama as the boy president”

The comment would make no logical sense. Not only is he not the youngest president elected, he is well above the age of 18, thus no longer, technically a “boy”……

Now…on the other had….if the intention is to smear him…….

  51. KARDNOS says:

    You know what’s really funny….

I’ve been busy all day and haven’t posted a thing since last night…yet….

Roncella and yabetcha just can’t seem to get me out of their so-called minds.

I do believe that was referred….by MsFine as…..”FREE RENT”

Geeezus, Roncella….I guess a 20 minute inteview with Bill O’Reilly to a Super Bowl audience wasn’t enough, huh????????

Google for the rest of Obama’s time on FOX.

If they would only use their computer as a tool before becoming a tool……

  53. alindasue says:

Roncella said, “By the way alindasue, Sarah Palin has been attacked along with her family more than any other women. She is nothing more than a plain spoken person, who loves her family and shows it, she has been a wife a mother a Mayor, Governor, and V.P. Candidate, Political Commentator.”

She’s also been a beauty queen and a sportscaster for KTUU TV in Anchorage, for whatever that’s worth.

Sarah Palin in a “plain spoken” person with a degree in communication. She is no more plain spoken than I am. She is a woman with a lot of charisma and very strong opinions about how things should be in politics (although not always careful about basing her political opinions on facts).

Personally, though, I probably would have more respect for her, despite our ideological differences, if she hadn’t decided to quit in the middle of her term as governor and blame the press for her decision.

As for the claim that Ms. Palin has been attacked by the press “more than any other woman”, I suppose that could be considered true – if you discount singers like Brittany Spears or reality stars like Kate Gosselin or foreign royalty like Princess Diana or “liberal” politicians like Hillary Clinton or…

Yes, Hillary Clinton. It doesn’t take much looking to find this “news” or that about the sordid details of Ms. Clinton’s relationship with her husband. The difference is that she doesn’t let the press keep her from her from performing her duties. I don’t always agree with Hillary Clinton’s way of doing things but, unlike Ms. Palin, Ms. Clinton generally does show a strength in the face of adverse press that I can respect.

  54. Roncella says:

alindasue, President Obama quit in the milddle of his term as senator to run for President, Most folks do not hold that against him.

Sarah Palin resigned her Governorship and became the major bread winner in her family. She makes a large salary from Fox over any wages she would ever make as the Governor of Alaska. She loves Alaska and its citizens but has to provide for her family, First. As a Women you should be able to relate to what she was going through.

  55. Roncella says:

When it comes to Hillary Clinton, she choose to stand by her man during all his charges of extra bimbo accusations and his Impeachment hearings. She put her plans at a possible future run for the Presidency frst, before kicking old billy bob to the curb.

I would have had more respect for her had she gave him a good kick to the curb.

  56. Roncella says:

KARDNOS, You loose the debate, you can google and search the web all you want to, but even all your liberal spinning cannot defend the Fact that President Obama is very thinned skinned and does not like being asked questions that require a quick answer.

President Obama as a Community Organizor learned to speak and read his Tele-prompter well.

He can take 20 mins to answer a question which should take 2 mins. to answer.

    Admit your wrong Kardnos.

  57. KARDNOS says:

Since my comments here are being compared to the media whore, Sarah Palin, I’ll respond that I only wish that Palin had the guts to get on an interactive media, as opposed to a controlled Facebook or twitter account, where I could go one on one with her.

Now, that being said, a 16 year old girl went public about wanting to debate Michelle BachmannMouthInOverdrive and since that day she has been harassed and has been threatened:

A 16-year-old high school student says she is facing online threats after calling into question Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann’s knowledge of the Constitution.

What started as a harmless — if cheeky — way of pointing out Bachmann’s historical mistakes has turned darker for New Jersey high school sophomore Amy Meyers, the Courier Post Online reports.

Last month, Meyers posted an open letter online challenging Bachmann to a constitutional debate.

“I have found quite a few of your statements regarding the Constitution of the United States, the quality of public school education and general U.S. civics matters to be factually incorrect, inaccurately applied or grossly distorted,” Myers wrote. “As one of a handful of women in Congress, you hold a distinct privilege and responsibility to better represent your gender nationally. The statements you make help to serve an injustice to not only the position of Congresswoman, but women everywhere.”

Several media outlets reported on Myers’ challenge. As a result, she said, people have threatened violence against her and threatened to publish her address online, the Courier Post reports. Myers’ high school has also reprotedly received inquiries regarding Myers’ letter.

“A lot of them are calling me a whore,” Myers said of the online remarks against her. Added her father Wayne Myers: “I personally did not think there would be a reaction like actual stalking and the vitriol that’s coming out.”

Myers has also seen a good deal of positive feedback online. Bachmann’s office has said it would not respond to the debate challenge.

As leader of the House Tea Party Caucus, Bachmann has expressed an unwavering commitment to the Constitution, even organizing classes on the Constitution for members of Congress. She’s used her platform as a Tea Party leader to build a national profile and may soon enter the race for the Republican presidential nomination.

    KARDNOS, You loose the debate,

Well, we’ll just tighten up that loose debate

    “Admit your wrong Kardnos.”

That one almost works, Roncella, but I think we know you mean that I am wrong, as opposed to me having a wrong.

  59. KARDNOS says:

Roncella – “He can take 20 mins to answer a question which should take 2 mins. to answer.”

We’ll see if the President can get all of his answers into three word slogan phrases to make it more comfortable for you.

  60. KARDNOS says:

“I would have had more respect for her had she gave him a good kick to the curb.”

You’ll love Newt Gingrich. He kicked a wife to the curb while she was battling cancer.

John McCain was right up your alley for dumping his wife after she became disabled.

I hope your wife didn’t take “for better or for worse” too seriously, Roncella. I think she might be in for a surprise if she burns the toast one morning.

  61. KARDNOS says:

    Oh…and Roncella…I’m guessing you don’t have much respect for David Vitter’s wife…..or Larry Craig’s wife……or……

  62. Roncella says:

KARDNOS, I am very serious when I am advising you to appear on the MSNBC Cable Channel on the bulldog Mr. Ed show. You would make a perfect guest, your head bobbing up and down like a bobble head all through the interview..

This is your chance to make it big Kardnos, go for it.

Why kardnos I just can’t imagine who would ever refer to as a Poster Whore. My lips are sealed….

  63. Roncella says:

KARDNOS, I guess you didn’t notice that all your comparisons to Hillary Clinton and the Billy Bob affairs, were Male, Not Female !! There really is a difference Ya Know…

like I said, the Great Commnity Organizor President Obama is a great speaker and great tele-prompter reader. Just don’t try and ask him questions he doesn’t know the answers to.

Why else would President Obama only agree to appear on CNN or MSNBC or other far left broadcasts, cable channels etc., Its Obvious to most thinking folks.

  64. Roncella says:

xtp855, I wouldn’t be to proud of the fact that most of your post-comments agree with Kardnos who can’t seem to find anything to do with his fingers or his brain except look foolish and bias in most of his opinions.

Uh….no, Roncella. He WON his bid for the Presidency thus had to give up his Senate seat. John McCain LOST his bid, thus kept his Senate seat and Palin lost and quit for no good reason.

You’re not much on details are you? Wait…that’s right…you want three word answers….

    Hmmmmm….OK……Obama WON Presidency

  70. KARDNOS says:

Pologo – I do not prostitute myself for a poster. Money, yes. Applause, sometimes….but who needs a poster? I got over posters in high school….except for those long pictures that came out of that Hefner publication…. Those got me through college.

  71. Roncella says:

KARDNOS, All the Republican examples you listed were males who had problems with their mates, Need I remind you that we were discussing one of your heros, Hillary Clinton who is female and Bill Clinton, who is her husband.

By the way go have another Obama koolaid, followed by a Pelosi/Reid shot.

And the hits just keep on comin’…….

hahahaha I can keep posting more, I know this has nothing to do with the subject, but it’s super funny!

  79. LarryFine says:

How about that Weiner dude ? How kooky… he was “hacked” yet he doesn’t want an investigation…

  80. alindasue says:

Roncella said “Think, think, think, for a min. Does President Obama appear on Fox News ever, no of course not,”

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=URJUSlfTgGU

All things considered, I think President Obama handled Brett Baier’s constant interruptions with an amazing amount of grace. Mr. Baier was obviously not asking pre-planned or pre-screened questions and, had he allowed President Obama a chance to finish a complete sentence without interruption, he may have gotten all his questions answered.

“alindasue, President Obama quit in the middle of his term as senator to run for President, Most folks do not hold that against him.”

At the time of the election, both Barack Obama and John McCain were active senators. Had Senator McCain won the election, he and then-Governor Palin would have been the ones to “quit” in the middle of their terms with no one holding it against them – but that didn’t happen. Having not become the Vice-President, Sarah Palin could have – should have – finished out her term as governor.

  81. KARDNOS says:

Hey, Fberg….let’s talk about your little video….

Did you wonder why the audio wasn’t synced with the video in this day and age of digital reproduction? Hmmmm….

That video has been hacked. Meanwhile, the “journalist” (I use the term loosely) took something that was off the record and used it. Only the smarmiest do such things. Now at the same time, Obama made a reasonable request in a low voice, very controlled.

For you to intimate that the “reporter” (again loosely) got “under his skin” is about as much hyperbole as the “reporter” (I’m gagging now) put into his “news story “(just puked)

I started in media in 1970 and stayed in it until the 1990s. Walter Cronkite is rolling over in his grave.

Stick to your indoctrinated rants about religion. Media is not your strong suit.

  82. KARDNOS says:

alindasue – Roncella also missed Obama giving Bill O’Reilly 20 minutes of Super Bowl audience.

Amazing how that could be missed since it’s the biggest TV audience of the year.

  83. KARDNOS says:

For the grown ups that don’t buy into Brietbart’s crap…..

The hacking was demonstrated on Rachel Maddow’s program tonight and a sample of how easily and quickly twitter can be hacked is on her website.

Seriously glad I have never subscribed, since the blog I help moderate has had several hack attempts (unsuccessfully).

Conservatives are very nice people…..in Hell.

  84. KARDNOS says:

    Speaking of hacking and such….

Our blog has a rating for each post. I submitted a post on Memorial Day to be a day to think about how to stop the man on man rapes in military barracks that are happening as a show of force

    http://www.newsweek.com/2011/04/03/the-military-s-secret-shame.html

We are a very liberal blog and have a regular crew of Conservatives that would love to crash us, but can’t because we are members only.

At least a half dozen of the Conservatives marked the story as “funny”.

When you think male on male rape in the military is funny, there is something tragically wrong with your brain.

  85. KARDNOS says:

“Sarah Palin resigned her Governorship and became the major bread winner in her family. She makes a large salary from Fox over any wages she would ever make as the Governor of Alaska. She loves Alaska and its citizens but has to provide for her family, First. As a Women you should be able to relate to what she was going through.”

So her 6 figure salary and all the perks from Lanoga for her getaway cabin wasn’t enough? Then, of course, there were book sales that should have kept the family fed while she completed her promises to Alaskan voters.

And all this time, I thought that Todd and Sarah were fishers and hunters for keeping the family fed. I guess that is just a PR stunt, huh?

What happened to the caribou she murdered on the TV show?

  86. ron – were you feeling neglected before writing this letter?

  87. LarryFine says:

… and yet weiner… er Weiner, doesn’t want an investigation.

    “members only” … LOL.
    .
Rachel Maddow… ummm, your “bible truth” I suppose.

  88. KARDNOS says:

I didn’t call for an investigation when someone took my “OldLefty” moniker and cloned it by using a capital “I” in place of the lower case “l”….

I guess that makes me responsible for the content of the clone’s comments.

As to Rachel Maddow….I’ll take her word over the smear merchant Breitbart in a heartbeat, but this was a staffer that demonstrated how to hack twitter.

Again….let’s talk about Weiner so that everyone forgets about being angry at the Republicans for trying to kill Medicare. It never fails…..

  89. KARDNOS says:

    “members only”

Definition, one must sign up to join thus is responsible for their participation.

    Did that help?

  90. “ron – were you feeling neglected before writing this letter?”

This is a sequel to his Run, Donald, Run letter, bB.

  91. Roncella, you have KARDNOS spinning in circles here. Although I seldom, if ever try to read all of his posts, it looks like he is about to explode. If your letter served any pupose at all, it was to reveal the true meaning of what it means to be a socialist nut-job. I watched the libs sweating over the WEINER issue yesterday on MSNBC Matthews (a tingle-up-my-leg) was drooling as usual and the guests had their undies in a knot trying to cover for WEINER. These people are so strung out they actually have to nurture each other. Liberalism is a mental disorder. All doubt has been removed. Their very own bull-dog, WEINER has just shown himself to be a twisted nut-job who should be locked away in a mental hospital.

  99. Roncella says:

Frosty, KARDNOS, is not out of control he is just beng Kardnos. He is like a virus infecting any debates he enters into.

With a few exceptions most liberals live in a dream world, They Care More, They Want More, They Know More, Than other folks do, thats in their minds only.

Anthony Weiner is a great example of a liberal Congressman. Yes he is a real piece of work for sure.

Yet the liberals and dems. will fall all over themselves to defend his stupid Wienergate pictures posted on the net.

Another outstanding example of a great liberal dem. Congressman, is Barney Frank his male partner was accused of running a business out of Barney’s residence and it wasn’t selling Avon Products, did Barney Resign, no way the dems. promoted him to head an important banking position.

Another Dem/ Congressman was found guilty and had thousands stuffed in his freezer, did he resign, no way he stilll in the Congress.

Another outstanding liberal democrat, Charlie Rangel, found guilty by his peers of all kinds of illegal dealings with back taxes and more, did he resign, no way he still holding his leadership position in the Congress.

This list is endless is goes on and on and on.

Poor Saps like Kardnos, they will fall off a cliff for their heros, they will spin and twist out of context any facts they will google and search the internet to defend their heros. Poor kardnos, you really have to have pity on him.

  100. Roncella has a Liberal Dem fetish. Polago said so!!!!!!

  101. Roncella says:

Polago, I have to tip my hat to you, with your description of Kardnos as the posterwhore you win the prize for best describing Kardnos as he posts his endless, comments, keep up the good work.

  102. KARDNOS says:

    Roncella:

Good job!!! Clean, concise almost adult-like post!!!

  103. KARDNOS says:

Oh gaaaaawwd…..Roncella pulls up the “Barney Frank” bit…..

Hey….tell us what Ted Haggard, known crank addict and soliciter of male prostitutes was doing visiting the Bush White House so frequently.

    LMAO

  104. KARDNOS says:

Now here is something to think about….

Ted Arthur Haggard, known as “Pastor Ted,” is one of the nation’s most well-known Evangelical ministers and the founder and senior leader of the New Life megachurch in Colorado Springs, Colorado, which has 14,000 members.

On November 2, 2006, Haggard “stepped aside” as senior pastor at New Life “after Michael Forest Jones, a self-described former gay prostitute, accused him of having a sexual affair for three years and using the drug, commonly known as crystal meth, during those encounters.” Haggard also resigned his position as President of the National Association of Evangelicals, an organization that represents 30 million members.[1]

    White House Evangelical
“Haggard has advised the White House on issues ranging from judicial appointments to steel tariffs, but he also sought to widen the agenda of Christian evangelicals into areas the Bush administration—and many of his Christian brethren—would rather avoid,” Lee Bowman wrote November 4, 2006, for Scripps Howard News Service.

“Although he had been active in lobbying for conservative Christian causes before, Haggard’s profile rose after he became head of the NAE early in 2003. He made frequent visits to the White House and was included in a select group of religious leaders briefed on the administration’s agenda during a weekly teleconference with White House staff, to ‘feel the evangelical pulse,’ he’s said,” Bowman wrote. “‘We have direct access (to the White House,)’ Haggard told a Wall Street Journal reporter shortly before the last presidential election, adding he could take a concern to the president through staff and get a response within 24 hours.”

  105. Roncella says:

KARDNOS, If I were you, I would be more concerned as to Why has George Soros made over six visits to the Whitehouse since Obama has been President ?

  106. yabetchya says:

Funny you should ask about my “source”. I quit search would have taken you to “Sourcewatch”…..BUT….there is no great secret of Haggard’s antics and his relationship with Bush….it was all over every media….except possibly FOX

Ooops…begging pardon. FOX reported about Haggard, but conveniently has avoided his attendence at the White House (public information…remember?)

Honestly, if she wants to be taken seriously, she should start dressing her age and stop with the “sound bites” and put forth some serious ideas….That I would listen to–but, she just is an embarassment the way she is now………Yeh, I know–all of us women who criticize her are just jealous…..Heard that rant before……But, serious women with serious ideas don’t need to dress big to get attention……They command attention with their ideas.

  116. So, how about that campaign stop Palin made at the Rolling Thunder Memorial Day get together?

    Classy, huh?

  117. Roncella says:

Let me put you liberals at ease. In my humble opinion its very doubtful Sarah Palin will make a serious run for the Presidency.

However having Sarah Palin assist other candidates who do have a better chance of defeating Obama and his Tele-prompters and a billion dollars will assist Conservitive Republicans in running against the Once Great Community Organizor, Obama.

  118. Roncella says:

Polago, I must affirm my original post to you and give you full credit for coining the phrase Poster Whore to KARDNOS.

It was your great understanding and able thinking that filled the blanks and put Kardnos in the missing link that fit perfectly in describing him as the poster whore of Tacoma.

Polago, you shouldn’t be afraid to take credit for your insight as I’m certain Kardnos is proud to be called the Poster Whore of Tacoma.

Change you mind about fishing ? Let me guess… you prefer to troll.

  158. Now you know that I’m a he, Larry? Or was that a generic he?

  159. Larry is now scrolling through his neurotic folder looking for any gender references Polago may have made.

  160. KARDNOS says:

When you live almost on the lake, you walk to the dock, try your luck for an hour or so, then you go back later.

As a real sportsman, I don’t troll or bait fish. I use barbless lures for catch and release.

Sort of the way I play with you on this forum……

Glad to know you are monitoring my every comment, though……

  161. LarryFine says:

It’s starting to make sense now. K did go fishing ;) ;)

    LMAO…

    Polago, you …

  162. Scroll, Larry, Scroll – And make those liberal squirm.

  163. KARDNOS says:

I’m still not sure why a Ford owner is called “toyotaman” but when your mind is sucked into a black hole……..well….there is just not much left with which to work.

  164. LarryFine says:

… it’s called “chuming” … and you keep biting.

For those that need to know, I walked back in my front door at 6:15 am.

LF….you need to know that there is not room enough in my posterior cavity for you AND the “R” person if I stop quickly when I’m walking…but of course, you already know that…..

  166. KARDNOS says:

LF….have you considered a hobby…like chewing tin foil while shaving your head with a cheese grater?

Maybe something with more staying power. Try catching your left thumb with your left hand.

These things will provide hours of entertainment so that you don’t have to worry about where I am, what I said and when I took…..oh…nevermind….

  167. KARDNOS says:

Polago…..I notice there was no apology issued when Larry’s meddlesome mind realized that you were posting while I was fishing…….

  168. I think Larry realizes his mistake, but cannot bring himself to admit it. So, to save face he scatters those old comments he’s saved over the years hoping to catch something, Chumming.

But fishing isn’t the same as catching, Kardnos.

  169. KARDNOS says:

    oh….Larry went bye bye….

Trying to save your self Polago?

now it comes out of hiding and tries to deflect….

Ya really need to stop looking at your self in the mirror, and talking to your self.

  175. Trying to save your self Polago? ….. nope!

    —-

KARDlago!!!! Is that another guess, Larry?

  176. Larry. Just because I love you, I’m going to tell you the honest to God’s truth.

This is the only moniker, avatar, name, and or login that I have ever used here.

Where you go from here is a product of your own neurosis. And I’m enjoying the daylights out of playing with it.

    ;)

Ya really need to stop looking at your self in the mirror, and talking to your self.”

Now there is a person that really gets into character. Uses Sarah Palin’s “yabetcha” as a moniker and structures/spells like a Palin tweet.

It was actually quite Zen, which Palin would avoid like the plague. To look at “your self” as opposed to “yourself” in the mirror would require a magic mirror to say the least.

  178. KARDNOS says:

    SELF:

The total, essential, or particular being of a person; the individual: “An actor’s instrument is the self” (Joan Juliet Buck).

The essential qualities distinguishing one person from another; individuality: “He would walk a little first along the southern walls, shed his European self, fully enter this world” (Howard Kaplan).

One’s consciousness of one’s own being or identity; the ego: “For some of us, the self’s natural doubts are given in mesmerizing amplification by way of critics’ negative assessments of our writing” (Joyce Carol Oates).

One’s own interests, welfare, or advantage: thinking of self alone.

Immunology. That which the immune system identifies as belonging to the body: tissues no longer recognized as self.

I wonder which of the “selves” the commenter had in mind

  179. btw – for those who feel a need to track my personal life, I am currently enjoying a vacation in Italy so I wouldn’t really know how the weather is in Idaho. So Polago (or any other poster) could be just as informed as me about Idaho weather if they checked the weather on the internet.

p.s. Happy to learn that Larry has “moderate(d)” his beliefs regarding my selected screen name. There is still some reality-based thinking going on there.
    ;-)

  180. LarryFine says:

Hope you have a safe trip bB.

The fishare biting here… how about there?

  181. KARDNOS says:

    Ciao!!!

  182. yabetchya says:

Actually, Kard ,I was on here as ‘yabetchya’ long befor Palin was EVER in the picture. Do you really want to go in the spelling and gramical error dept? I wouldn’t if I were you.

  183. yabetchya says:

bB, hope your having a blast !

  184. Roncella says:

beerBoy, enjoy all the great breads, pastas, sauces, wines, deserts. bon a ppetito..along with all the history.

  185. Jealous! :(

  186. LarryFine says:

… must bit a little slub bait around…

  187. That’s easy for you to say, Larry.

  188. LarryFine says:

..yet you and your alt keep on biting… kooky …

  189. What makes you think that I’m the one with the alt, Larry?

    Maybe I’m the alt.

  190. b.b, have you visited Mussolini’s home yet? I’ve heard it’s still worshipped by many fascists today.

  191. Maybe bB can bring you some holy cards from Mussolini’s home for you to cherish, frosty, since you’re so interested.
