Re: “Palin’s ego trip stealing spotlight from real candidates” (Eugene Robinson column, 5-31).

Well, it didn’t take long for the far-left media attack machines to launch their attacks on Sarah Palin. Her decision to take a bus tour with her family across the nation has sent the far-left cable channels and liberal columnists in orbit.

They all say they are hoping that Palin decides to run as she would be the easiest candidate for President Obama to beat. I would caution them to be careful what you wish for; she just might make you sorry she decided to run.

They are worried that she is taking the spotlight away from the establishment Republicans running for president. It’s always amusing watching and reading the advice far-left folks in the media like to give to possible Republican candidates.

You can be sure that Tim Pawlenty and Mitt Romney lie awake at night reading advice from liberal columnists so they can beat Obama in his bid for a second term.

I don’t remember Eugene Robinson lamenting over the Rev. Jesse Jackson or the Rev. Al Sharpton taking the spotlight from their Democratic opponents when they ran for president some years back.
