NARROWS BRIDGE: Fix costly tolling mistakes

I am writing to request help in forcing the Narrows Bridge tolling authority to fix the problem: transponders purchased in the last three months don’t work, and the manual matching of license plates to accounts produces errors (I know I’m not the only one with an undeserved $52 infraction notice). And we’ve lost tens of thousands of dollars in tolls, since I doubt I’m the only one that has not been charged at all for many of the trips made in the last three months.

Let’s collect the money from whoever made the decision to force people to buy transponders that don’t work.

  1. We received three $52 fines- what a boondoggle! We have to not only go in to fight these fines, but pay the toll for going there! It was working fine before, why try to fix it?

  2. truthbusterguy says:

The system was working fine until Seaquist and Kilmer stepped in to HELP.

This is another case of they ideas costing the taxpayers and in this case toll payers, more money.

Can’t they ever leave well enough alone. Can’t believe Kilmer fell for this Seaquist idea.

Come on guys, it is just another “fee” imposed by the queen and the democrat controlled legislature. It isn’t a tax increase.

  4. steilacoomtaxpayer says:

Make a phone call + quit griping.

  5. This is what you get when you turn over things to the private sector.
Now the state, us\we, have to spend more trying find out how the contractor screwed up, then sue them to get out of the contract, then find another one. While doing all that we have to spend yet more monet to look into each fine and either collect or dismiss them.

    Thanks teabaggers.

Yes xtp, the “teabaggers” were in existence when this was put in place.

    How is Sumner doing?
