ISRAEL: Obama’s actions offensive, embarrassing

Letter by Billie Jean Tilstra, Graham on May 27, 2011 at 12:44 pm with 321 Comments »

Re: “U.S. must pressure for settlement” (letter, 5-26).

Reading this letter, I would like to comment that I, too, am offended.

I am offended and embarrassed at the audacity of our president telling the head of a foreign country where its borders should be.

I am offended at the belligerent stance, the stony glare and the hand cupped tightly to his chin during Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s passionate plea for understanding that Israel cannot possibly move its borders back to an indefensible line.

If President Obama were in Mexico on a state visit, and the president of Mexico told him that the United States needs to move its borders back in our Southern states, all would be vocal in expressing their opinions in this regard. Where is the outrage here?

Israel has made more than its share of negotiated offer to the Palestinians, and their response so far has been more mortars sent into Israel territory.

I am embarrassed that our president, during a state visit to the United Kingdom, lifted a wine glass and prattled on and on with a toast to the queen and England while their national anthem was being played and all in the great room were standing at attention. After he finally got the message, that their national anthem was being played and he was the only one making a toast, he put his wine glass down on the table.

Is there no one in the administration who could teach him a little about protocol?

Billie, I don’t believe there is anyone in Obamas circle that would dare correct what the Presidents does or dosn’t do.I am supprised no ones saying,It is all Bushes fault.

  2. How more rightwingers letters are going to be printed show just how out of touch they are and how few of them heard the speach or understood it?
At this point it’s a real embarassment to the GOP.

  3. truthbusterguy says:

obama’s foreign policy concerns millions of Americans. His record is a particularly troubling one. For all supporters of the America-Israel relationship there is enough information beyond the glare of the klieg lights to give one pause. In contrast to his canned speeches filled with “poetry” and uplifting aphorisms and delivered in a commanding way, behind the campaign façade lies a disquieting pattern of behavior.

One seemingly consistent theme running throughout obama’s career is his comfort with aligning himself with people who are anti-Israel advocates. This ease around Israel animus has taken various forms. As Obama has continued his political ascent, he has moved up the prestige scale in terms of his associates. Early on in his career he chose a church headed by a former Black Muslim who is a harsh anti-Israel advocate and who may be seen as tinged with anti-Semitism. This church is a member of a denomination whose governing body has taken a series of anti-Israel actions.

All said do we need more proof that “HE IS A MUSLIM”!!!!!!!

  4. sincere says:

At least truthbuster has his head out of the sand!

  5. dallasow says:

Billie, you like many other rightwingers, only heard one part of what th president said. He stated that the border should revert back to the previous border, as a starting point, with modifications based on mutual agreement between Isreal and Palestine. At no time did he demand a border location. Ironically, Mr Netanyahu said the same thing in his speech to congress. Get your facts straight before you write a dumb letter. There is no outrage because most people actually heard what the president said. Only rightwing idiots heard that portion of the speech that gave them another reason to find fault with him. You should be embarrased, not for the president’s actions, but for writing this letter.

  6. Sincere,
If TBG’s head were in the sand it would be an improvement of were it is now.

  7. truthbusterguy says:

I think this is the first time sincere ever said anything nice about TBG.

xring only sits in the corner and drools Ed Schultz snide comments. Never anything of substance.

  8. Publico says:

  9. A few thoughts,
I’ve come to the conclusion no matter what Obama does/doesn’t do, numerous members of the GOP are going to find fault.

As for Obama’s opinion toward Israel, I find it interesting numerous commenters are upset over the starting point proposal discussed by Obama when many Israeli’s in government (past/present) have said the same thing. Obama didn’t say anything new. I remember Ariel Sharon saying Israel can revert back to pre-64 boundary lines IF land swaps were negotiated. Didn’t Obama say the same thing? PM Benjamin Netenyahu has said Israel is willing to negotiate a removal of land if land swaps are negotiated and Hamas and other militant groups stand down.

I think PM Netanyahu is looking tough for the hard-line old school Israeli’s and Obama is trying to play the role of peacemaker. I’m sure Israeli people know the USA can’t afford to cause a fight and Israel can’t afford not to have us backing them.

Rather ridiculous argument. It is generating plenty of interest amongst the bloggers.

  10. truthbusterguy,

I only caught the tale end of your comment, but are all muslims your enemy?

  11. nwcolorist says:

Well written letter. Thank you, Billie Jean Tilstra.

  12. KARDNOS says:

  15. KARDNOS says:

When protocol is to bow…the Right Wing Sound Machine rants about that.

This is all a smoke and mirrors attack because the GOP failed big time on the Medicare issue and it’s coming back to haunt them big time.

Rewind the clock to the time period of 2001 thru 2008. I’ve come to the conclusion no matter what Bush does/doesn’t do, numerous members of the DNC are going to find fault.

    So what is your point?

The Dems had their time bashing Bush, so now when the GOP bashes Obama, the Dems get their tail feathers all ruffled.

Suck it up. What goes around, comes around.

  19. The letter’s author claims to be embarrassed over Obama’s protocol mistakes, but if I were a Republican, I’d think carefully before pointing out the mistakes of others, protocol or otherwise. After GWB’s impressive catalogue of protocol mistakes with foreign leaders, the author should have become acclimated to embarrassment.

Had the author not been blinded by her hate and partisan bias, her final question should have included all presidents: Is there no one in the administration who teaches our Presidents about Protocol?

  20. menopaws says:

Our President made a mistake–it was a protocol mistake, which is embarassing. However, dear letter writer–he didn’t commit American lives, blood and money to an unnecessary war in Iraq……..that is beyond an embarassment—it has classified our previous President and Vice President as war criminals in several other foreign nations. Why do you think those two never travel overseas? so, you go ahead a fret over a glass of wine and a protocol mistake. You Republicans have a huge amount of personal shame to deal with. Poor judgement is a big part of that.

  21. Ithappened2me2 says:

    So, explain Libya.

  22. Obama uses an “Autopen” to re-sign the hated Patriot Act from a foreign country, and all we hear is crickets chirp.

The hypocrisy if the Left is astounding.

That racism thing went the way of global warming. Phony and agenda driven.

  24. truthbusterguy says:

    JWD1

Yes, until Muslims rein in their lunitic fringe they are my enemy. All of them.

The enemy of my enemy are my friends. I am with the Jews on this one.

obama is a backstabber of our best friends in the middle east. He wants to be the king of the world and doesn’t care about this country. If he did he would be here trying to create jobs and not in europe kissing the queens butt.

  25. Publico says:

Most people who paid attention to what the President said, in context, know very well that President Obama is not calling on Israel to retreat to its 1967 borders. He said those borders, which define the West Bank and Gaza, would be the starting point for talks about land swaps. Every responsible two-state proposal has always been along the lines reiterated by the President.
The opponents to Mr. Obama’s proposal in this instance are opposed to everything that comes from him. Their complaints are boilerplate from the wordsmiths at FOX or the RNC or some other mouthpiece whose responsibility it is to spin and twist real honest efforts for a peaceful solution into something diabolical and false.

  26. Uh, Publico, he did say pre-1968 borders. He back pedaled and you are helping him and the rest of the Jew haters spin it. You need to get on the correct side of history now. Today.

  27. Ithappened2me2 says:

Still waiting for the estrogen deprived one’s answer about Libya.

Obama cried there must be an exit strategy for Iraq. When Obama was asked about an exit strategy about Libya, he sang a different tune.

    Can we all say hypocrite?

    I knew you could.

    But keep carrying the water……

  28. KARDNOS says:

The German grope was a classic. This is what I mean about the Conservatives and their feigned outrage. They said nothing about a Conservative President that talked with his mouth full of food and made a lady feel uncomfortable by performing massage on her at a formal dinner, but find the slightest idiosyncratic issue about Obama and they are all over it like a pack of wild dogs on a carcass.

The interesting part of all these shenanigans is that the Republican Party is sucking wind right now. All of their republican governors are falling way out of favor with voters because of their attacks on labor and the middle class. Ryan’s Medicare debacle is the crown jewel of the mess. They have dug themselves a hole and can’t get out, so they’ll pull the “look at what the black guy did wrong” card as much as possible.

Fortunately, the majority of Americans are not that stupid. The GOP has to deal with a lot more than just their base in 2012. As you watch the GOP candidates for President, all you can do, as a Democrat is say “bring it on” as this will be another defining moment for American politics.

What is a bit unbelievable is that the Republicans made the same mistake in 1994, thinking they ruled humanity.

As I’ve said before, what ever happened to Randy Tate?

  33. You missed your calling. You should have ditched that non-profit years ago and run for office.

  34. Ithappened2me2 says:

My point was very clear. As I’m sure you know, Mr. Bush is no longer president. I was talking about the here and now. And, I personally did not make the snide remarks about our 2001-2008 CIC. I may not like the president (or any previous) but I respect the position enough to be respectful. So I have nothing to ‘suck up’.

    truthbusterguy,
So all Muslims is an enemy to you? Interesting. Does this go for the muslims currently fighting in our armed forces battling terrorists all over the world? Why do you dislike members of our military? Of course they are fighing/dying for your right to dislike them.
I worked in the middle east for many years and met many muslims who worked side by side with the USA to dismantle terrorist cells/groups. These muslims, along with most thinking people, are outraged at the acts of terrorists everywhere.

  35. TBG says, “If he did he would be here trying to create jobs and not in europe kissing the queens butt.”

A conservative’s job description of a U.S. President, is for the President and the rest of the government to deregulate and let free enterprise greedily run amock until the economy tanks. So now, under Obama, saddled with a diddling Congress, the rules change and the President is responsible for creating jobs?

  36. Uh, Man Child Punk is not a race, nor is Jew or United Methodist.

  37. And truthbusterguy,

I seem to remember Mr. Boehmer, Speaker of the House, state government does not create jobs. Was he lying?

  38. ” They” (Republicans) “have dug themselves a hole and can’t get out, so they’ll pull the “look at what the black guy did wrong” card as much as possible.”

And as history has shown, instead of searching their own souls for answers and accepting responsibility their own failures, they’ll blame the “liberal media” and/or the “ignorant electorate”.

  39. Ithappened2me2 says: “So, explain Libya”.

Trillion spent in Iraq under false pretenses with thousands of American lives lost and no way out, is not comparable to a NATO led, no boots on the ground, easy transition out doctrine in Libya.

Obviously, Obama’s learned what examples NOT to follow.

  56. I can think of something worse than racism..which really is saying something:
People who use racism to cloud the deeper problems.

One of you wrote about “a disquieting pattern of behavior.”

For those of you who appreciate the power of slow and insidious infiltration
(which, for the record, is the kind of “progress” progressives represent), there’s a lot that’s disquieting about Obamagenda IMO.

As has been said before, I dislike the white half of him just as much as I dislike the black half. BTW I don’t think he’s evil, nor do I think he’s the anti-Christ, I think hes an idealogue whose ideas (or at tleast the means of realizing them) are wrong for our country.

  57. “We catch the way you bury the word “boy” (a negative directed at a black man) in between other words….”

So did the folks who referred to GW as a boy think he was African American?

This kind of lunacy, sadly demonstrated by KARDNOS with predictability is NOT helpful.

    …….
Once again a Bush hater assumes that those who disparage Obama operate on the same level as the average Bush-hater does.

If that were true (that they hate Obama and/or are willing to see the country fail) it’s likely because that’s what Harry, Nancy, and yes… Barack Obama did during the 8 years of Bush.

  77. xx98411 says:

“George Archibald and Paul M. Rodriguez The Washington Times; Final Section: A Page: A1 Friday, June 30, 1989″

  78. KARDNOS says:

    “vein popping Ed”

    Another Conservative make up.

They throw these false phrases around and then feign outrage if someone does same.

  79. “If their is a recording of Bush making reference to Hillary’s ample “keister” then bring it on… ”

Wouldn’t a court room be wonderful if you couldn’t use testimony and everything had to be “on tape”? There would be a whole lot of guilty Republicans that never got caught.

    See…there it is…..if “Bush wasn’t on tape…it didn’t happen”

Uh….I believe you just made a reference to Hillary’s “ample keister” as you call it.

I don’t have tape, just a computer screen.

Am I playing the Right Wing game accurately?

  80. “The example you used is from a certifed Bush hating commentator”

Where does said certification come from? Did the GOP start issuing certificates to a group of people that disagree with Bush?

    More hyperbole, Conservative style.

  81. Oh..and I loved “attack the messenger”…..isn’t that Saul Alinsky?????

  82. When Rush Limbaugh was caught on tape making a rude comment about Chelsea Clinton, they blamed it on his producer……

    Yeah…that’s the ticket…..

  83. dejen2, try this: He began his speech with words aimed at placating the audience, stressing that the US commitment to Israel is “ironclad”. He said that his comments about the 1967 border with mutually-agreed land swaps had been misrepresented by some. It has long been the US position. Netanyahu may explain over the next two days why he was so exercised about the issue.

Obama said on Sunday that the 1967 border would only be a starting point: “By definition, it means that the parties themselves – Israelis and Palestinians – will negotiate a border that is different than the one that existed on June 4, 1967. That is what mutually agreed swaps means. It is a well known formula to all who have worked on this issue for a generation. It allows the parties themselves to account for the changes that have taken place over the last 44 years, including the new demographic realities on the ground and the needs of both sides. The ultimate goal is two states for two peoples.”
To call me a Jew hater is a bit over the top since my haplogroup is J2.

  84. “vein popping Ed”

Nope, I am not pretending to be holier than thou nor am I claiming a false equivalence. If I called a person a slut on air I would be wrong too, suspend myself, and record a mea culpa… it was a good one by the way. Ed looked truly humbled. Laura was a class act for accepting it and not rubbing his face in it.

“I don’t have tape, just a computer screen.”
    A link rocket scientist…. Jeeze

Hyperbole – yes, my friend that is exactly what it is… I am trying to be entertaining here as I attempt some point… somewhere in my postings.

Saul Alinsky – yep, you got it… good enough for you and your brethren… good enough for me when I slip into my latex for a swim in the “attack the messenger” cesspool.

Rush Limbaugh – now that is on tape / transcript somewhere… good example, finally.

  85. Great letter Billie Jean ! Looks like you hit a raw nerve. I’m still wondering why the presidential limo bottomed out and had to be pulled off of a speed bump. I told you all before that the only thing left to do to completely transform the White House was to get some dice games going on in the Rose Garden, hang a 7-11 sign and a phone booth outside on Pennsylvania Ave and convert the limo fleet to low-riders. Looks like the low-rider bit has been done.

  86. “some dice games going on in the Rose Garden, hang a 7-11 sign and a phone booth outside on Pennsylvania Ave and convert the limo fleet to low-riders. Looks like the low-rider bit has been done.”

    No racism here, huh?

There are no dice games in white America ::::coughVegascough:::::

No 7-11’s in the white neighborhoods?

    no phone booths?

Low rider? Well……that is more of a colloquialism of the Hispanic population, but there is always enough racism to go around when frosty the war hero is present and unaccountable

  87. I’m hosting a poker game for a bunch of friends in a couple weeks.

I wonder what that makes my home and neighborhood. I’ll ask the golfers as they walk by my house to green #3 or the folks down at our private lake.

  88. A class act:

“We know that Europe loves President Obama. He had adoring crowds. The press loves Obama. The question is how will this date end? Okay? The question is, to what end? Why do they love President Obama? They love his personal story, they love his wife. North Korea, China and Russia don’t really care about Michelle’s arms and, you know, whether they gave an iPod to the Queen, okay?”
    ——————————————————————————Laura Ingraham

Someone on the Conservative side want to explain what Michelle Obama’s arms have to do with “policy”…..

There is more than one way to be snitty and insulting. Ed blurted out a feeling. Laura took a more calculating method.

“Hey Laura, your butt doesn’t look bit in that pair of pants”……

  89. “To call me a Jew hater is a bit over the top since my haplogroup is J2.”

  91. From “Free Republic” –

    “Ugly Chelsea?

“I made a very unfortunate and insensitive remark. It was the wrong thing to do, and I have no excuse for it.”

    — Senator John McCain, Republican of Arizona, June 11, 1998

    ___________________________________

McCain was apologizing for telling a Republican fund-raiser that Chelsea Clinton was “so ugly” because “she’s the child of Janet Reno and Hillary Clinton.” According to “My Bad,” he later sent a note to the Clintons.

I wonder when he will apologize to Janet Reno? Wasn’t she insulted as well? I guess she doesn’t count as much as a right wing radio commentator.

I should publish a book and make millions just by looking up GOP faux pas

  92. nwcolorist says:

As “hey Laura, your butt doesn’t look BIG in those pants”

  94. nwcolorist….

Have you taken a look a Rush Limbaugh or listened to him? He is the last person in the world who should ever talk about a person’s appearance or characteristics.

The video of him bouncing on stage at the Conservative Convention was enough laughs for a year.

You’ll note that Rush didn’t make it on TV…….hmmmm…wonder why…..

You want to hear funny? Listen to Stephanie Miller’s sidekick Jim, who is a real comedian and does Rush better than Rush does Rush

  95. bobcat1a says:

Why didn’t Billie go all ape when Bush said essentially the same thing in 2005?:

“Any final status agreement must be reached between the two parties, and changes to the 1949 Armistice lines must be mutually agreed to. A viable two-state solution must ensure contiguity of the West Bank, and a state of scattered territories will not work. There must also be meaningful linkages between the West Bank and Gaza. This is the position of the United States today, it will be the position of the United States at the time of final status negotiations.”

Couldn’t be because Bush was a Republican could it?

  96. Actually, nwcolorist….Rush is most funny when serious…..

We’re going to let you destroy your life. We’re going to make it easy and then all of us who accept the responsibilities of life and don’t destroy our lives on drugs, we’ll pay for whatever messes you get into.”
    — Rush Limbaugh show, Dec. 9, 1993

“I’m appalled at people who simply want to look at all this abhorrent behavior and say people are going to do drugs anyway let’s legalize it. It’s a dumb idea. It’s a rotten idea and those who are for it are purely 100 percent selfish.”
    — Rush Limbaugh show, Dec 9, 1993

“If (Surgeon General Jocelyn Elders) wants to legalize drugs, send the people who want to do drugs to London and Zurich, and let’s be rid of them.
    — Rush Limbaugh show, Dec 9, 1993

“There’s nothing good about drug use. We know it. It destroys individuals. It destroys families. Drug use destroys societies. Drug use, some might say, is destroying this country. And we have laws against selling drugs, pushing drugs, using drugs, importing drugs. And the laws are good because we know what happens to people in societies and neighborhoods which become consumed by them. And so if people are violating the law by doing drugs, they ought to be accused and they ought to be convicted and they ought to be sent up.

“What this says to me is that too many whites are getting away with drug use. Too many whites are getting away with drug sales. Too many whites are getting away with trafficking in this stuff. The answer to this disparity is not to start letting people out of jail because we’re not putting others in jail who are breaking the law. The answer is to go out and find the ones who are getting away with it, convict them and send them up the river, too.”
    — Rush Limbaugh show, Oct. 5, 1995

That should keep you laughing all day.

  97. bobcat – Bush didn’t toast at the wrong time in England. Don’t you know this is about protocol?

  98. frosty – I found this a while back after your low-rider post and was LMFAO… at both your post and this story.

A genius quote from the story…

“A lot of people think that it’s morally and ethically wrong to have the president beside beer, wine and cigarettes,” she said. “That’s portraying an image to society and also to the children here.”

    The story…
    http://www.live5news.com/story/14656814/is-this-photo-real

  99. “Low rider? Well……that is more of a colloquialism of the Hispanic population, … “

Please tell me you see the irony of your post… calling out racism for the low-rider comment but you then correct him that it is not a black thing but actually a Hispanic thing….

    ROTF LMFAO….

  100. “As “hey Laura, your butt doesn’t look BIG in those pants” ”

Actually those pants do look very nice on her… but I digress…

“You’ll note that Rush didn’t make it on TV…….hmmmm…wonder why…..”

Because he has a face for radio… duh! He’ll even tell you that.

  101. You don’t understand rhetorical statements of example, either, do you?

  102. “A lot of people think that it’s morally and ethically wrong to have the president beside beer, wine and cigarettes,” she said. “That’s portraying an image to society and also to the children here.”

There is something immoral or unethical about an adult enjoying adult beverages or tobacco products, both of which are legal? Well in America, when you are trying to portray the President as “the bad guy” I guess any excuse will do.

  103. The saddest part of that woman’s quote is that she looks at a Yemen immigrant’s gas station and only sees alcohol and tobacco.

Wanna bet there are over two hundred other items on the shelf?

  104. Ithappened2me2 says:

xx….I guess you’ll just have to talk to hispanic folks to know the origins of the term “low rider”

    LOL

If someone had been paying attention to what someone reads, past and present, that person would know that xx has been exposed to what a “low rider” is.

  105. Roncella says:

KARDNOS, you should be proud to be compared to the likes of those I named in the above post. They are all a bunch of nasty, extreme/leftests/Liberal/dems.

Like I said bfore Kardnos, your posts remind me an awful lot like I’m watching Mr. Ed show on msnbc. You should e-mail the bull dog shultz and tell him you want to appear on his show, your attitude fits perfectly with his extreme leftest slant to everty issue.

  106. I’ll bet a worthless dollar Kardnos has and uses a WA Qwest card.

  107. KARDNOS says:

What the hell is a “WA Qwest card”?

If it has anything to do with Qwest (DUH!!!) I don’t do business with them. They lie and misrepresent their services. I turned them over to the Attorney General’s office.

Thanks for bringing that up IS

Roncella….I’m still waiting for your citations to prove you allegations on two threads now……..

  108. KARDNOS says:

“If someone had been paying attention to what someone reads, past and present, that person would know that xx has been exposed to what a “low rider” is.”

Then why make yourself look ignorant, as xx did? Is it something inherent in Conservative genetic makeup?

  109. xx98411 says:

Actually I am use to the old school Chevy Impala with the bobbing dog head in the back window and the fuzzy dice attached to the rear view mirror. Living in New York City in the 60’s – 70’s, those cars were like boats to me… huge… you could get two bodies in the trunk… ;)

I digress… karnos, dude… you get all flippy about racism, then get all Obama like professorial and lecture us about how the low-rider is actually a Hispanic thingy… alright you don’t see the irony.

I am just curious though… if you see me, the light brown Hispanic and my black friend standing outside a 7-11, hangin’ by the phone booth appearing to be waiting for a call, and both of us are drinking from a brown paper bag… would you assume that the black guy is drinking Old English and I am drinking a light (or maybe dark) Ron Rico Bacardi from the bottle…

Drinking from brown paper bags… well……that is more of a colloquialism of both the Black and the Hispanic population, typically concentrated in big cities from the North East of the United States. Though they share the same mannerisms and drinking style, the contents of the classic brown paper bag are typically different.

    just sayin’ :)

  110. Ithappened2me2 says:

xx98411, I hope you know I wasn’t trying to be a “kard racist” when I mentioned that you already knew what a “low rider” was. I just found it amusing that kard wanted you to talk to a certain demographic to learn about low riders, given that you have mentioned your heritage before.

And good reply with the irony part of your comment.

  111. xx98411 says:

2me2 – that is the ridiculously funny part of this whole thing… karnos pulls the we are racist card, I call him out on it, he get all professorial on us, you remind him I am certified Hispanic (ala Rushbo standards) and he doubles down on the professorial lecture anyway… oh man, too funny.

I saw the Presidential “Beast” bottom out this past week and when Frosty posted his low-rider thing I was rolling… of course I gotta roll with the theme. Instead of the classic Rush Limbaugh media tweak of the day, consider our edgy contributions as KARDNOS tweaks of the day.

I am all for perpetuating stereotypes to have some fun while making a point. I don’t see any of you guys as racist or any of that crap. Liberals pull that all the time. We know the game.

  112. Maybe it’s a Quest card. Not sure of the spelling since I’m not a lib.

  113. MarksonofDarwin says:

    xx & 2me2,

Since this thread is completely toast, I have to let you guys know that you could have waited for your recent comments.

It was the perfect setup for some moron to pounce on xx for claiming to have a black friend. We can only guess at the tear streaming hilarity that would have ensued….

All good non-racists know that’s code for “I am definitely racist”!

  114. KARDNOS says:

xx…..you know…on the internet you can be hispanic and I can be Bill Gates.

Bottom line – “low rider” originated with the Chicanos. It’s all over the internet for anyone that wants to learn something.

You mock racism….. for whatever reason, I’m not sure. Enjoy.

I’ve seen far too many people who have gone through terrible episodes in life all because of their origin.

You find it humorous, I find it sick.

Thanks for the compliment about me sounding like a Harvard law school grad that was successful in his bid for the presidency despite lies about his heritage and religion. I could only be such a man…..

  115. KARDNOS says:

Oh….and xx….there is no “race card”….something is either racist or it’s not.

“race card” is hiding place for those uncomfortable about the truth.

  116. SadujTogracse says:

Kardnos INVENTED the race card. If you have a different opinion than him on most every subject, you are a racist. You criticize Obama? Racist. Kardnos plays the race card so often that he should be dealing in Vegas.

  117. MoD – RE: toasting the thread

Unfortunately too much of internet chatter is based in labeling and name-calling and there are certain subjects (like the I/P conflict) that have folks on either side of the divide more than willing to sling arrows.

I know that I focus more upon Israel’s misdeeds while you, and others, focus more upon the misdeeds of the Palestinians – neither side’s hands are clean in this 60 years of conflict. Demonizing either side does nothing but rationalize the evil one’s own favored side engages in. This kind of rhetoric only allows the situation – which only benefits the extremists on either side – to continue without hope for an end.

The majority of the Israelis and the majority of the Palestinians are much more willing to compromise than the rhetoric suggests.

  119. Yep, I think Obama IS an embarrassment, and a joke. He certainly isnt MY national leader. But just as embarrassing, and just as much of a joke, is the ceaseless, unending drivel that letters and topics like this produce right here in these threads! Which is exactly why I rarely comment, or even read this paper anymore! Sheeesh! :D

  120. xx98411 says:

I may embellish but I don’t lie. Only if appropriate and for the purpose of discussion will I reveal any such details. It seemed appropriate a few threads back. Believe me… or not… always your call.

“low rider” – if you need to be correct, yes sir you are historically correct. Low riders are a historically Chicano thingy. The Cadillac, specifically the “de Villes” models, with appropriate rim styling and customized interior is more the predominate stereotypic vehicle of choice for Blacks, typically from the Northeast during the 60’ and 70’s. The Lexus and Mercedes Benz have taken over as the status vehicle of choice and has been popularized as such in many a rap song. ;)

I sure to hell do mock… not racism… but those that misuse and abuse racism, those that seem to find a racist bent in literally everything another person says. When, in response to a valid criticism of the President, a person is labeled racist… I will mock not only that person but also the feeble attempt to change the valid subject.

It is used, at times, to change the subject from some valid critiques. I know it, you know it, and it appears “we” know it.

Yep, there are racist people in the world and there have been some terrible episodes as a result. The “victim” needs to make a deceptively simple call… either that episode sadly defines them and their life…. or it can be used to build strength and character to overcome those challenges. You can’t control what other people think or intend to do, but you can refuse to be a victim.

    “Professor”… that wasn’t a compliment.

I realized to you, equating someone to Obama isn’t a compliment.

I look at the man who was raised by a single mother and grandparents, earned a great education that many priviliged kids piddle away,
    got involved in community,
    became an elected official,
gave a speech that set his party on fire and brought notice to he genius
….and despite the filthiest campaign of lies against him, was elected President of the United States and will be re-elected in 2012

Please compliment me accordingly any day you’d like.

Thanks for admitting in excess of 300 words……that I was right in my assertion that “low rider” was a terminology that was Chicano in origin.

If someone is considering this as “name calling”, they need a dictionary and English 101.

“Ignorant” is a condition of lack of knowledge. Obtuse is “not quick or alert in perception , feeling, or intellect; not sensitive or observant; dull.”. “Agent of misinformation” is a full time career for many Republicans.

As for me, IS, I’m semi-retired, just finished a sales project assignment for a Pierce County company and I’m seeking another assignment, but have plenty of money in the bank to carry me. I don’t think I’d qualify for such assistance.

Now, for those in need, including some of our military families, I think programs like this are very important and not to be mocked and ridiculed.

But I’m not a Conservative with no conscience.

  137. KARDNOS says:

“then get all Obama like professorial and lecture us”

You know…. I’ll apologize and dumb down to the three word mentality of “drill baby drill”.

Maybe that will make it easier for you.

  138. Roncella says:

KARDNOS, As an elightened liberal, who Cares, you should be an example for all liberals by writing checks to both President Obama and gregoire for them to pay all the expenses they are facing, with budgets they have bankrupted.

  139. KARDNOS says:

    Here is what I “get”.

I make a factual statement about frosty racist rant and “xx” comes to the rescue with a deflection about “low rider” terminology.

In a 300 plus word “explanation” (read: another excuse) there is an assertion that I’m too intellectual (professorial, according to said comment)
    http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/professorial.

Now, after driving out to buy myself a coffee, I’m told to “step away for the computer… walk up the stairs to the front door… open said door… breathe the freash air…. aahhhh..” A new deflection…..

    Oh hell….I’m getting too “professorial”…..

drill baby drill. no new taxes.

Tim Eyman would be proud of me.

  140. KARDNOS says:

    Roncella….

As an enlightened liberal, I pay my fair share of taxes and I don’t whine about it like a child.

I, as a business manager, business consultant, et al, know that it takes revenue to make things happen.

By the way, I’m still waiting for your citations to support all of your baseless assertions for the past two days…..

  141. KARDNOS says:

Roncella….anytime you’d like to be educated on revenue versus expenditures, I’m available for mild fee. I don’t charge nearly as much as I used to when I was raising a family and had higher expenses.

  142. KARDNOS says:

    “No, I don’t, Sam!”

A dear friend of mine once said “Racist is just ignorance, often self imposed”

Thanks for proving that statement to a “t”

  148. As you can see, I’ll NOT engage in a ridiculous mocking conversation about racism.

If you wish to play dumb, I’ll just compliment your execution of your intent.

  149. “”Thanks to our Military for protecting us from from the terrorists and enemies of America”

Soooo… that is your idea of an answer to some one thanking the military…. ok… got it.

    Thanks Professor K ;)

  151. “A dear friend of mine once said “Racist is just ignorance, often self imposed”

Thanks for proving that statement to a “t” ”

That is not an explanation. I am just asking a serious question about your view of what constitutes racism. You appear to have wide latitude in that definition.

  152. SadujTogracse says:

If racism is ignorance then Kardnos is the biggest racist the world has ever seen!

  153. “my view”?????????

What kind of bovine fecal matter is that for a question?

If you need a definition of racism, argue with the dictionary.

You are sitting in front of the information highway and refuse to do the research, if you really have a question.

The truth is that you wish to engage me in a silly mocking conversation about a subject that is clearly defined and only those who avoid the reality of it pretend to not know.

    I won’t play.

Now, as to Roncella’s flag waving comment…..it’s wonderful to laud praise on the military, especially the day before a holiday, but how about some real truth on the matter?

If our “military” has done such a wonderful job of protecting us from “terrorist”, as Roncella said…..why did black Americans live in fear for their lives for 200 years, and still do today? Is that not terrorism?

I’ll not fall prey to false patriotism for the sake of slogans.

Our volunteer soldiers are wonderful. Our protection policy for 200 plus years speaks in platitudes that are not shown in action.

“I know ya are but what am I?” “My mom could beat up your dad”

  155. no sir, I am asking why you, YOU, karnos can read a post from frosty and consider that racism and I, a Hispanic, that because of my “extensive background” do not consider frosty nor his comment racist. And am actually laughing at the post.

Why sir, do you hide behind internet definitions of racism… what is your application of said definition? How does it apply to frosty’s post?

Why do you hide behind the words of a “dear friend” who proclaims “Racist is just ignorance, often self imposed”. How, SPECIFICALLY is my humorous view of frosty’s post ignorance?

I’m the one who suppose to be aggrieved here according to your list… I’m feeling a little left out.

  156. I posted this on another thread… it applies here to karnos… I’ll hide behind his words..

    Garrett Morris:
Hi. I’m Garrett Morris, talkin’ to all you white Americans about the way black people have been treated in America. Now, I know a lot of you feel guilty — and you should. My great-great-grandmother was brought over here on a slave ship and was raped by her white master. And my grandfather was lynched by a mob for not tippin’ his hat to a white lady. Now, they’re dead now and there’s nothing you can do to erase their suffering. However, if you would like to relieve your guilt, I am willing to accept money as a representative victim of four hundred years of repression. Send your check or money order to White Guilt Relief Fund, care of Garrett Morris, 870 West 127th Street, New York, New York 10089 [Superimposed text reads: WHITE GUILT RELIEF FUND c/o Garrett Morris, 870 West 127th Street, New York, New York 10089] — and if you send in before July 4th, 1976, [holds up a parchment scroll and an orange card] I will send you this beautiful scroll and I.D. card certifying you as an honorary Negro in the eyes of several black Americans! Once again, that address! [Smiling, Garrett pauses as Don Pardo takes over.]

    Announcer:
White Guilt Relief Fund, in care of Garrett Morris, 870 West 127th Street, New York, New York 10089. Send cash or money. I know I have. I felt just terrible until I did.

    Garrett Morris:
    Thank you!

Donate now people, and appease your white guilt.

  157. As I mentioned on the other thread…

Sadly, you didn’t comprehend Garret’s humor. Satire is often missed by the receiver.

  158. I don’t know who is more pathetic Kordnos for his incredibly insulting posts or me for actually reading them. He belittles and insults anyone who has views other then his own. I think he needs to find something positive in his life that does not consist of sitting day in and day out at the newspaper opinion page website attacking the conservatives. I will be leaving to go and play ball with my son and will never again read or respond to anything he has to say because he is obviously delusional. I suggest everyone do the same. However, curiosity may bring me back to see if his closed mind is able to interpret this into a racist letter.

  159. “hide behind internet definitions”…..

LOL….yes…we need more opinions and less facts!!!!

Here, here….dumb down America. Make all issues opinion based so that the masses can be manipulated!!!

xx…before you keep pounding your drum of Hispanic heritage…..let me pose one question to you…..

Have I ever disclosed my race on this or any other thread?

Who do you think you are talking to??????? LMAO

You have assumed me to be the Conservative’s favorite – “guilty caucasian” without a shread of evidence.

    Now who is racist?

  160. Here is a clue….members of my family are of “mixed heritage”

    Wanna guess now?

  161. What was there to miss… I refuse to be a victim of racism nor of anything… and I don’t need you to remind me of what I have lived over time… I am not trying to forget nor deny it ever happened I just choose not to be a victim nor defined by my history…

I choose my life and how it will unfold before me…

PS – you gonna answer my questions professor or as usual deflect and sllither away???

  162. Don’t care your heritage… it does not define you to me…

why do you see frosty’s post the way you do???

why do you seem to interpret Garrett’s humour differant that I do???

why do you see other’s humour about a person of colour automatically racist???

    help me sir…

  163. It’s too bad that I can’t copy and paste Lenny Bruce’s monologue on racism. It would be auto dumped by the online editor.

Maybe you should check into Richard Pryor’s bit on the preacher raising money on TV unsuccessfully, until he tells the audience that the money raised would send all black people back to Africa…..then all the phones light up…

    ANSWERS:

    1. If heritage is unimportant, why do you keep bringing up yours?
    2. Because it is stereotypical racism
    3. Because I comprehend satire’s negative/positive implications
    4. I don’t. That is your opinion based on lack of evidence and manipulation of my statement.

    Consider yourself helped.

  165. OK… I read frosty’s post and did not react the way you did… ok, cool…

I have seen and listened to Carlin, Bruce, Pryor, etc… and my view of racism is obviusly different that yours…. fine, cool…

Some things are for damn sure… though you can pretend to be all enlightened and stuff, you will not define racism for me not my view of race…

you can act all superior with your claims of our collective ignorance… GFY…

now, i gotta go clean my rims and change the fuzzy dice in my ride, hermano… ;)

  166. Well….I’d glad you’re not going to tell anyone that your actions and attitude are a mirror image of mine.

    I couldn’t stand the humiliation.

  167. SadujTogracse says:

Well since Kardnos has taken over this forum, I’m heading down south where people don’t feel the need to comment every second and where one person doesn’t ruin the entire thread.

  168. I always enjoy a good old “gfy” from “xx”……..

It’s such a game winner in debate. Maybe Sarah Palin should use that if she ever debates again. It would be better than:

I may not answer the questions that either the moderator or you want to hear, but I’m going to talk straight to the American people and let them know my track record also.
    Sarah Palin
On not answering the questions in the vice presidential debate, St. Louis, Missouri, October 2, 2008.

Amusingly, “GFY” is an acromyn for a three word phrase.

    How fitting for a Conservative!!!

  169. saduj……

    hold on….I’ll dumb down again….

“I know you are but what am I?”

How is it that I can stop you or anyone else from making a comment on this thread?

Oh…sorry…that question was more than three words….

  170. I cruise The Olympian now and then and have never seen a commenter by the name “SadujTogracse”

    A Sybil complex perhaps?

  171. Well, it worked! I knew if I bait the hook and toss it into the sewer, KARDNOS would bite. Thanks KARDNOS, you proved my point that the the last refuge for a scoundrel is to throw the race card out. I’ll keep you in suspense for a while until I can bait another hook.

  172. BTW KARDNOS, are you going to go watch a Memorial Day parade somewhere? LOL

  173. My apologies to fellow TNT board members for my part in hijacking this conversation.

My intent was to confort what I perceive is either ignorance and/or the use of racism to set those that disagree with this administration on the defense. My style is to confront in the gutter and in necessary, head for the cesspool. Not pleasant but can be fun with some soda and popcorn for the casual reader.

My perception is that if you think the race card is play alot now… wait until the election cycle is in full force and their is a perception that Obama is losing or can lose the election… Jesse and Al will be in full force along with Clyburn and others.

To my pigment challenged brothers and sisters in conservative values… DO NOT FALL FOR IT… feel free to attack his misaligned policies…. hard… We are not in the words of AG Holder, “…a nation of “cowards…”

For the record, the question was never answered.

“2. Because it is stereotypical racism”

My next question and request is to articulate – Why is that so?

Anytime you can answer that question… I’m listening and will hear you sir.

PS – can’t wait for the sun to come out, deem rims is gonna blind you folks ;)

  174. SadujTogracse says:

xx98411 you have nothing to apologize for. Everyone knows who the trouble maker is in here and it isn’t you. Your posts are very informative and interesting.

  176. People do like watching train wrecks in progress at times don’t they…

  177. xx, I second SadujTogracse”s comment. No apology needed. I don’t run from the libs when they try to use the race thing. I know that the biggest racists are liberals. They are the ones who want to keep the minority population on the plantation with their social programs and to import as many cheap labor immigrants as they can. They are losing the argument on the racists issue. The more we look at it, the more obvious it becomes, they try to portray themselves as the great understanding and sympathetic uncle to the minotiies while at the same time the only interest they have is to get their votes and keep tossing them the crumbs. Enlightened minorities realize what’s going on. The others are still waiting to cash in on Obama’s stash.

  178. members of my family are of “mixed heritage, want to guess now”? Well, since you asked the question, how about this, they are French-Mongolian. Good enough? I may be wrong about the Mongolian part, but I’m absolutely convinced there is some Vichy French in there.

  179. I feel that Kardnos is a perfect example of the dumbing down of America and every he posts a blog he reinforces that belief.

  180. MarksonofDarwin says:

    Blazerd,

Please come back and join the conversation! This forum needs new members with fresh ideas….no doubt even my own posts have become stale! Don’t let the background chatter chase you away. There are many people here with whom you can actually have an enjoyable conversation. The sun is poking out and it’s warm outside. I hope your activities with your son were memorable and fun…

    xx,

I agree you have nothing to apologize for. Actually, your insights and opinions are impressive and thought provoking. That said, please don’t be shocked or put out if at some future point you find that I disagree with you! Differences are the spice of life, and as long as it’s respectful, we will both perhaps learn something new. Fair warning: I do occasionally like to “rib” people, but it’s all in good fun…

btw….I’m sure you already know it, but “gfy” is the ONLY response this troll is looking for. In fact, I suggest that from here on forward that be the only response he gets from anybody who wants to bother to respond at all!
I know you’re having fun, and that’s fine…..but you should know that I scroll through until I see a response from you. I have only the greatest amount of respect for anybody who has the patience and time to read his drivel….

    bB,

While any debate on the I/P conflict may seem to be black and white…nothing could be further from the truth. Even though both of us may be taking a seemingly rigid stance for one side or the other, without exception, every single conversation we’ve had on this subject always boils down to some variation on “neither side is completely innocent”. Lots of gray to be muddled through, and even more lies to be unraveled on both sides….

  181. NWflyfisher says:

Not sure who said it but I’ll paraphrase: “it’s useless to argue with an idiot; he’ll drag you down to his level and beat you with his experience down there every time.”

I’ll remember the men and women of the military that are homeless with empty barracks sitting on Fort Lewis. I’ll remember the hungry vets that could be fed, if the GOP wasn’t cutting back funding.

Well, ktc – to each his own, but this is America and we do have freedom of speech and everything I’ve seen of President Obama tells me that if you have constructive criticism to offer, he is man enough to take it.

“Uneducated”? Hardly, unless you are totally ignorant of his multiple degrees.

As to disagreeing with a comment, why don’t you cite one of his comments with which you disagree and let’s see if you even have the comment correct. Obama is the most misrepresented president I’ve seen in my life when it comes to his quotes being manipulated.

Past actions? You mean like ridding the world of Usama Bin Laden? Again, how about specifics instead of baseless generalizations?

As to your slur about “Man of Honor”, where I come from men of honor are direct, to the point and if you have a criticism you don’t hide behind a generalization or make baseless assertions, you detail your complaint.

Furthermore, only a “Man of Honor” could tolerate a continual lie about his birth right and his choice of religion and not get angry.

I’ll look forward to your more detailed comments

Over time it becomes clear who provides credible information and actual fact to the cesspool swimming match that passes for discourse.

“Frosty’s stereotyping was racist and now he wants to play like it’s my fault for calling him on it.”

One more time, what about Frosty’s post is racist in your opinion. I am familiar with the dictionary definition of racism but see none. Is it edgy, can it tweak a person… sure but “racist”

  198. Ithappened2me2 says:

xx, your last paragraph reminded me of something I read in the past few months from someone else here. And I understand.

I find amusement with kardnos accusing me of using multiple monikers here, since he has changed his at least 5 times since I started reading this site last fall. And the other names he uses to support his comments.

Not that you care, but for the record, this is my second “moniker” since I was banned from posting under my first one, hence my new name.

    But I enjoy the irony.

I am not who you think I am…….

  199. Jeeshhhh…. do we ever get any new letters or new comments from outside the trite political babble that appears from the same babblers to each and every topic. You guys are boring, boring, boring.
Please take your private causes home to your own sand boxes and bury them with the rest of the excrement.

  200. Soundlife says:

I thought Obama’s babbling a toast to himself while the British National Anthem played and everyone else in the room stood at attention was classic buffoonery.
Obama has elevated ignorance and stupidity to an international level.
    Thank God 2012 is coming…

  201. KARDNOS says:

Uh…there is a big difference between changing names and carrying multiple monikers for purposes of self flaggellation. You know it and so do I.

Who do I think you are?

  202. KARDNOS says:

xx – why do you continue to play a game about racism that is so blatant a child would know better?

  203. KARDNOS says:

xx – one of the reasons I won’t play your game is that I discected frosty’s statement already….noting the stereotypical racist attituded. I know you read it because that was what got you on your tangent about “low riders”

Explain to me why I must be redundant when you could just go back to the original comment and you’d have all your answers to all your questions.

  204. xx98411 says:

    The original response to Frosty…

    “No racism here, huh?
“There are no dice games in white America ::::coughVegascough:::::
No 7-11’s in the white neighborhoods?
    no phone booths?
Low rider? Well……that is more of a colloquialism of the Hispanic population, but there is always enough racism to go around when frosty the war hero is present and unaccountable.”

This is what I get from your response…

First sentence – a statement in the form of a question.

Three questions about the location of a dice game, 7-11, phone booth and a comment about a low rider with a lesson of how it actually applies to the Hispanic population. Finishing with a comment directed at Frosty.

Sorry don’t see any analysis nor how Frosty’s post is racist.

  205. KARDNOS says:

xx – then you are not capable of logical though on your own.

You see my rhetorical questions each were a challenge to his stereotyping…

Oh gaaaaaawwwd….why am I having to explain such a simple thing?????

  206. KARDNOS says:

    Hey…I’ve got a great idea….

Why don’t you ask frosty why a dice game would be played at the White House now, as opposed to the laste 225 years.

Ask him what a 7-11 has to do with the nation’s capital and legislative buildings.

Ask him why, in an age where cell phones are in over 50% of peoples hands and probably 100% of elected officals, would there be a phone booth.

Low rider? Well….you claim to be the expert there…

  207. KARDNOS says:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zOO_NQV3sPg&amp

Well, I finally watched the video……

Obama started the toast…..all of a sudden music comes on an overhead system

Who in the world started that music while someone was giving a toast?????

Let me guess. If Obama had stopped in the middle of his toast, he would have been too stupid to remember what to say without a teleprompter.

As usual…..more of the same “much ado about nothing”

Note that not one complainer has mentioned that the British national anthem is the same music as “America, the Beautiful” which has not particular protocol in our country.

Thank our luck stars that he didn’t bow to anyone……..

  208. xx98411 says:

“You see my rhetorical questions each were a challenge to his stereotyping…
Oh gaaaaaawwwd….why am I having to explain such a simple thing????? “

Yep, rhetorical questions… challenge him… ok.

It still doesn’t explain why you believe Frosty’s post was racist. You challenged him, but no explanation why you believe his post is racist.

We don’t know Frosty’s race nor do I get any indication that he believes his race is superior. He has made no claim to fostering a policy, doctrine, etc… that implies his race is superior. I am not seeing a pure hatred for President Obama’s race.

  214. KARDNOS says:

    Well…what have we found here?

    From NewsRealDemocracy:

“The Queen gives the cold shoulder to President Obama for breaking protocol offering a toast to the Queen while they were playing HER SONG: God Save the Queen of course.

The band started early but the Queen should not have ignored a sincere offer of a toast by the US president. An insult to all Americans.

This is also about cross-cultures. Two persons were expecting diffrent things from the same event (check http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0052MGKBY).

In the case of the Queen and other lesser royals when you have nothing to do all day protocol and etiquette becomes the only activity they care about.”

One more time we have Conservatives siding arbitrarily with another head of state for the pure purpose of opposing Obama.

    Of course….it’s all about policies…………right

  215. xx98411 says:

  218. xx….no matter how many times I explain, you react like a child in a game of “why?”

What does “dice game” have to do with the White House?

  219. At the risk of being “professorial”……this might help you learn something:

    http://www.indigenouspeople.net/Racism/

  220. A humorous aside to all of this…..

I’m reminded of a “dialog” I had with a racist on AOL who claimed that Asians had “slanted eyes” because the sun rises in the east and they had to squint more because Asia is in the east.

    Yes……he really said that…..

Racism IS ignorance, and some of it is self imposed.

  221. By the way, xx…..why did you violate your own hit and run post?

  224. “What does “dice game” have to do with the White House?”

Absolutely nothing, but that comment doesn’t make it racist…

Your link is… well… interesting, but that still doesn’t explain why you think Frosty’s post is racist… unless you equate that post on the same level as the examples in the link…. do you?

About the AOL “racist”… I think he is more of a dumb-butt than racist to think what he told you.

I tend to believe that sometimes people may say things to you more for a reaction that what they believe… just sayin’

Great letter Billie Jean! Looks like the low-rider bit has been done.”
It took me a while to find this post with which some here seem to be having trouble deciding whether it is racist or not. It certainly is stereotyping and from the tone one can easily discern that Mr. frosty is not heaping praise on the current occupant of the White House or how it is run. We know from past contacts with Mr. frosty that he generally excoriates liberals and Democrats every chance he gets. When he runs out of right wing boilerplate and goes off on his own is when he gets into trouble and that is what happened here. His caviling attitude is an attempt to hide or minimize the seriousness of what he is actually thinking. He hates President Obama and everything for which he stands. Put it all together and Kardnos called it correctly in my humble opinion.

  229. Is italianspring frosty? They seem to have the same difficulties expressing themselves without getting into trouble. Is not “Indonesian man-child-punk” a bit racist too?

  230. Back to the original thread:

”Obama has no place in his heart for Arab children.”

“Arabopaedohobia shapes US policy in Middle East.”

    http://english.aljazeera.net/programmes/

Seems both sides ds not like our policy.

    Or something like that…
    C’mon I_S….amirite?

    You find a difference between the two……and I don’t.

There is a significant breakthrough in the conversation.

  234. “Ithappened2me2 says:

stop flogging the dead horse and move along.”

I’m always impressed by the level of intellecual context that Cousin It has to offer.

Telling everyone to move along with IT sets up camp on the thread to throw gasoline on the fire, every now and then

  235. “It certainly is stereotyping and from the tone one can easily discern that Mr. frosty is not heaping praise on the current occupant of the White House or how it is run.”

    Karnos take note…

Mr. Publico has provided a definitive point of view that is focused. In this case he has stated (IMHO) that the comment by Frosty is “stereotyping”… a point I have a hard time disagreeing with. He then correctly concludes that Mr. Frosty is indeed not heaping praise but possibly the remains of this dead, rotting corpse of a thread. A point of view I share.

He (Publico), then appears to believe that with all taken in context, you sir (karnos) are correct in your perception.

Take it as you will, thank you for your input.

I am still more interested in your humble opinion mr. karnos.

  236. Difference…

    Not all dumb-butts are racist

Not all racists are necessarily dumb-butts… twisted in their logic and perceptions, no doubt, but dumb-butts… nope.

History has proven that there have been “intelligent” people who were indeed racist.

  237. xx – you are only interested in a childish game of “Why, Kardnos?”

  238. I note Markson’s “threadjack” allegation with amusement….

I returned to the letter writer’s subject, posted video proof of what REALLY happened, provided a less bias viewpoint by a media source and…..

no one wants to talk about it anymore…..

    I wonder why???????

  239. Ithappened2me2 says:

Always nice to see the high and mighty kardnos calling people names as usual when he complains about other’s name calling.

I guess I could nickname you kardnos the douchelord or KDL for short….

Time to go fire up the lawn equipment to try to help warm this place up. I will check back in later this evening to see how many more posts KDL will have added.

  240. Oh yes….”Cousin IT” is namecalling….how vicious

  241. Childish is a little much… I’m thinking immature with a little obsession thrown in…

Anyway, you do a good job of focusing on my behavior… are you interested in providing input to any of the various questions or comments I have made… why is Frosty’s post racist IYHO…?

(I was actually kidding about the 300 post… karnos I am game if you are game…)

  242. KARDNOS says:

OK….I’l play fair…..xx, IT, et al, shall now be referred to as “ManChildPunk”.

Since it’s OK for the President……

  243. xx98411 says:

Come on now karnos, it’s a simple question about Frosty’s post…

ps – ManChildPunk is disrespectful but not racist.

When used in a group of conservatives you will probably get approving nods, some snickering and possibly outright laughter…

Amongest kool-aid drinking liberals you will get disapproving looks but not much more… remember we are armed… they are not… :)

  244. KARDNOS says:

    xxManchildpunk:

“ps – ManChildPunk is disrespectful but not racist.”

    Didn’t say it was.

Unless, of course, you imply “boy” via the veiled word “manchild”……but we know that no one would do that…..

  245. KARDNOS says:

“remember we are armed… they are not… ”

An interesting stereotype all in itself……

  246. KARDNOS says:

    “Childish is a little much…”

    Child like?

When you’ve had a hand in raising five kids and seen them go through the game of “Why?” it is either child like, of childish.

Nothing worse than a game of Republican Rhetoric Roulette….

  247. xx98411 says:

ManChildPunk… OK… disrespect it is… we are making progress, we have one term – ManChildPunk – this is not racist according to karnos standards…. Cool.

    “boy” this one is tricky…

When I say to my son… “boy, I’m gonna put a hurtin’ on ya if you don’t stop helpin’ yourself to the chew” – not racist as we are the same race.

If I were to say to you karnos… “boy, you need to stop postin’ so much feces on these here boards, your gonna get that carpal tube thingy” Not racist… a little disrespectful (but I might score some points for being concerned about your health.)

Now, if we were to say to the President… “boy, you need to stop spending so much of da peoples money, dey aint got so much. That just aint right” This is where it gets tricky…

If you are certified Black – you are good to go… no problem.

If you have Black skin but everybody knows you are a conservative, that’s a no, no… see the white folk section for possible ramifications.

If you are certified Brown (Hispanic)… this is where it gets a little tricky. If you are urban Hispanic you are probably good to go… if you are one of those field Hispanics then ??? Like I said, tricky.

If you are White… then under no circumstances can you utter those words in reference to a black person, you are toast… Unless of course you are Bill Clinton.

    See what I mean by tricky… glad I could help… :)

Thanks for letting my comment stand on its own. I’m pretty proud that I have the guts to talk about all the dirty secrets about our veterans poor treatment.

I’ll wave a flag when we have no homeless, sick and hungry veterans. I’ll sing the praises of America when veterans treatment is more important than tax cuts for rich people and the Republican agenda of breaking the government for personal gain.

My comment stands on its own.

Maybe, one of these fine days, we’ll quit flag waving and start trying to figure out why male on male rape in the military is happening, not to mention our fine women in uniform who have been raped and assaulted.

They didn’t die on the battlefield. Their souls died in the barracks.

  265. KARDNOS, I see you’ve been quite busy pounding away at the keyboard. I won’t use much of your time because I don’t really have a lot to say to you. You said that I don’t like you because you are not in awe of my military service. You couldn’t be more wrong. I don’t like you because you are the typical smart-assed liberal big mouth who thinks he knows everything, but has zero experience in anything except whining and complaining. Most posters here see you for what you are. I appreciate that you are the type of person that we in the military could send out “snipe-hunting” or searching for a “box of short circuits”. Always good for a laugh. I promised to bait another hook for you, but on second thought, I don’t want to waste good bait on a bottom feeder.

  274. xx…..are you Saduj in drag?

This is an old “Saduj” trick of creating two identities and starting a conversation between them, whining about “Kardnos” or whoever. Saduj did that perpetually in The Olympian and has now followed me to Tacoma, since Saduj has no life and is obsessed with me.

You’ll note I have the dignity to refer to the Trib moderators by their proper title as opposed to slurrying them with “nanny”..

I don’t think name calling will futher your “cause”

Protect your name man, in the end that is all we got left…

HAHAHAHAHAHA…first of all it’s a made up moniker not a “name to protect” ……second it’s my old moniker spelled backwards……..

You’re even smarmy when you are trying to play the role……LOL

KDL is probably changing his IP address as we speak… maybe the moderator FINALLY had enough.”

Sounds like “LarryFine” has some experience. After visiting a certain blog, I asked my provider if I could get a new address and they said they had no control over that. My IP is the same one that it has been since I started service with this provider.

    Fill us in, LarryFine……

  277. SadujTogracse says:

It’s not a lie, I did flag them and two of your comments following your 5:39 post last night were removed. One referred to comments I have made in another newspaper (which was another false statement).

  278. “xx…..are you Saduj in drag?”

wow, three minutes apart… we must be…

  279. karnos, I am NOT xx…

  280. damn… busted… I didn’t log out… :(

  281. karnos – a new letter came in with more to follow… 281 posts… almost karnos… almost…

Uh….interestingly enough…..you admitted that you are not this identity in the other newspaper. You can lie to everyone else, but I’ve got you covered

    What was it “r a d e c”?

This is SOP for you. The moderators are busy, but not ignorant. When they catch on that you admitted to being someone they’ve already banned, they’ll know what to do.

sadujmanchildpunk – If only you were so thankful for the men and women who come back injured and scared for life.

They are a burden on your Conservative agenda of breaking the government.

    Remember the living.

The others were just responses to your banter. I suppose I could have played the same game, but I choose to fight my own battles and not go running to those that get slurred with the name “nanny”

  285. I do note with amusement, how….when I tried to return the thread to the letter subject matter, the CONs kept right on going with their personal attack agenda….so….why not play along?

  286. alright play along – what about Frosty’s post is racist?

by now, just me and you here…

  287. xx….how many times do I have to answer the same question?

It’s like I said….you are playing a game of “Why, Kardnos?” and I’m not going to engage in child-like behaviors with you.

In fact, Polago figured it out and you just came back with the same “why?” game.

Can’t you move on? Try going back to the original thread subject, as I did, and deal with the FACTS about Obama’s toast…..which was grossly misrepresented for political purposes….

  288. Man the rightwing has a lot of trolls!
Or is it just a couple of people with a bunch of sock puppets?

  289. SadujTogracse says:

The troll is the person who has posted way more than anyone else, that person is not a right-winger.

Kardnos play the victim regarding personal attacks, but he is the biggest abuser of anyone in here.

  290. SadujTogracse says:

“This is SOP for you” Yeah because you have kept the same name the entire time you’ve posted in here, right? (eyeroll)

  291. yabetchya says:

Kardnos is so loopy, he is an expert in any and all subjects. He is such a right fighter, he wins at nothing. No wonder his wife is disabled and his son has ADD. You would have to be, married to a Kard like him…….BYE BYE post :)

  292. Roncella says:

Sadu, As an observer here, not involved in your debate with Kardnos, I admire your willingess to fight back when attacked unfairly.

However when dealing with a Big Mouth, Know it all the more you answer his foolish comments the happier he gets. You see he enjoys pushing your buttons, and it shows in his posts.

Its not what you or he is saying its the act of his being able to respond to your comments that gives him pleasure.

If you stop responding to his silly and often foolish statements, he will soon disappear, We Hope !!

Never let a turkey/lib the likes of Kardnos get you down. Never !!

  293. SadujTogracse says:

Thank you Roncella. I have tried ignoring him in the past, but he never went away. It took action from the moderator to get him to leave. Now I sadly watch as the same thing is happening in this forum. There are a lot of interesting people in here with a variety of opinions on subjects. It’s a shame that one person can ruin for everyone else.

  294. “xx….how many times do I have to answer the same question?”

You never answered it in the first place… I asked for clarification…. go ahead with the racist stuff again. I’m gonna call you on it… you and your ilk will not use it as a weapon to stifle critcism of the “one”

Palago (I thought Publico) did provide some insight, I provided what I thougth was a respectful response. We appear to agree on one thing, we appear to disagree with another. Their was no further response and I did not persue as he did not use the term racist as a response to a post… you did.

Thanks for the wonderful distraction from the drone of packing up my house…

    293… damn, so close…

  295. “I have tried ignoring him in the past, but he never went away.”

I agree… these are the type of people that can stand over a wasteland and claim victory…. they can not “win” by us walking away and “hoping” to find a new home… they must be confronted for the fools that they are and ultimately defeated. Actually it is pretty easy, stick to principles and they defeat themselves.

On to the next battle… “We are Sparta!!!”

  296. “In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community,”

All the readers need to do is read the content of Saduj’s comments to see how many were applied to the context of the letter, or the flow of the thread.

Starting with this one, which was a veiled personal attack at me…..

    SadujTogracse says:

This is not the ‘Memorial Day Attack on Kardnos” thread, thus someone was …

    Trollin’….trollin’….trollin’ on the Tribuuuuunnne!!!

In fact, if you review Saduj’s comments over the past month, about 90% of them had something to do with me or my name, regardless of if I was a part of the discussion…..

I can keep playing this game just as long as the CONs and their cheerleaders

  297. You see…boys and girls….if “Saduj” didn’t want to engage me….the comment could have read:

    “SadujTogracse says:
    May 30, 2011 at 4:32 pm
I’m very thankful for all the brave men and women who have fought and died for our country.”

Although, off thread topic, a fair comment. But….NOOOOOOoooooooooo!!!!

Saduj wants to play games…..and then whine when the game gets tough.

  298. Now, since the truth has been told. Everyone knows the reality of the situation…

I’m discontinuing my activity on this thread because I’ve said all I need to say.

Wanna bet there are several attacks after this comment?

  299. ATTACK… ATTACK… ATTACK…

  300. now that was childish…

  301. I’m still waiting for an answer to xx’s question, what did Frosty say that was racist? Only a liberal would interpret comments about low-riders, dice, 7-11 signs and phone booths to minorities. The weird -one even admits that white people use phone booths and shop at 7-11. He even says that white people play dice. I’ve actually seen a white guy in a low rider one time. So what would cause a person to think that what I said was racially motivated? Answer: Only a closet racist would immediately jump on that as an issue to bring up the “us vs. them” analogy. He has been exposed!

Bingo! Sounds alot like what has been happening to Israel for Millenia… yep… kooky in SO many ways.
    …..
It is noteworthy how one single poster (and his alts) can so routinely violate the forum rules… but hey, that’s how ‘they’ roll.

  303. larsman says:

    Kordnose
    – Nwflyfisher used the word “paraphrased” which, as you failed again to understand, means “of similar meaning or purpose”….

Again you attempt to strain at a gnat while swallowing a camel.

IF you had actually READ the verses in Proverbs and picked up on their meanings….(put on your binoculars and turn up your hearing aid at this time), you would have (anyone else could) seen:
    YOURSELF…

    Amazing.

  306. KARDONS, Please keep up the good work.
you know you are on the winning side by the personal and childish attacks leveled against you by the troll\s on the right.

  307. Ithappened2me2 says:

And the city of Sumner finally weighs in….

  308. LarryFine says:

Lol… the posuer’s 3rd person act became phlegmatic a looong time ago.

  309. larsman says:

History lesson for Bb and (let me make this “clear”…..again) Obama:

Bb’s liberalist sources ( there are also such things as nominal left leaning persons who were “born” Jewish yet aside from “traditions” have neglected their history and their present) espouse, among other things :

” Supports the growth of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement through divestment from companies that profit from the” occupation”

Works in coalition with others including Arab, Muslim, Palestinian and Christian groups to fight bigotry and end the”occupation”

Facilitates Congressional outreach regarding policy in the region ”

So Bb’s double standard is not so disguised after all. Leads to the question of Bb even acknowledging the existence of WWII. After all, it occurred before he was born so it cannot be contemporarily verified by himself or his chosen history denying leftist-only “sources”.

The only “occupiers” are Syrian and Jordanian refugees who were told by the attacking Arab confederation to evacuate during the 1948 attack against Israel ( who was established by international assent), and were promised safe return AFTER Israel was annihilated.
    The Muslims lost.
The refugees were tricked BY the Jordanians and Syrians and were expelled as proxy cannon fodder.
Anytime that Israel has ceded land for a future promise of “peace”
( check Koran for Muslim definition), the new land becomes a funnel for Iranian, N.Korean or Russian arms smuggling and a launching platform for Kassam rockets..
“Negotiate” with those( Hamas) whose officially stated constitutionally mandated “goal” IS the destruction of Israel?
Yeah right. You jump off first…

  310. bobcat1a says:

LarryFine, phlegmatic: unemotional and calm disposition? Can you elucidate?
    BTW, what’s a “posuer”?

  311. LarryFine says:

Have you ever eaten an insideout burger bobcat ?

  312. xtp855 also known as “sumner”., apparently you’re not following this thread close enough, haven’t you noticed that your leader has checked out? He ran out of cliches and talking points. It’s up to you now to carry the banner, this should be fun.

  313. LarryFine says:

Frosty, the two you are talking about are one and the same…

  314. larsman – what?

“( there are also such things as nominal left leaning persons who were “born” Jewish yet aside from “traditions” have neglected their history and their present)”

Are you referring to Norman Finkelstein, whose parents are both survivors of the camps, who has used the lessons of the Holocaust to strengthen his resolve that the Jewish people should not be responsible for creating similar tragedy?

“Leads to the question of Bb even acknowledging the existence of WWII.”

What? Was that an attempt to smear me (like your references to the Protocols of Zion in previous posts) with an innuendo of Holocaust denial?

You have read a bunch of things but your brain doesn’t seem to be capable of synthesizing them into a reasoned, cogent argument.

  315. frosty’s list of negative stereotypes is just as racist as Reagan’s “welfare queen”. Without mentioning race it calls upon a common negative stereotype that is based in racism.

Plausible deniability might have worked for Reagan but it doesn’t work for frosty.

  316. LarryFine says:

“Was that an attempt to smear me… ”

  318. beerboy, when’s the last time you hugged a Jew? Don’t try preaching your virtues to me when you have time and again maligned the Jewish people. Those living in glass house should’nt …..?

  319. beerBoy says:

frosty – what does hugging Juice have to do with being more supportive of a foreign country than the US?

  320. beerboy, you lost me. I don’t know anything about hugging “juice”. See you can’t even bring yourself to say the word “Jew”.

  321. Frosty…I think our “boy” was referring to…beer…
