Re: “Lies hurt, says city” (TNT, 4-27).

This tragedy will only heal and move forward by each of us committing to decide what we can do on a recurring daily basis to make our workplace, community or recreation area safer, better places, as each of our elected, employed or volunteer officials do during each day.

I am grateful to the Tacoma mayor and each council member physically standing behind her stating the real culprit in this issue is Terapon Adhahn. I personally know each public servant in this issue. I know their commitment to making our city a safer, better place is their daily task.

Our city manager, police chief and police spokesperson are the best any town could hope for. We can only contiune to support them and reaffirm our personal commitment to moving forward by starting or continuing our personal, daily efforts to sustain the safety and health of our family, community and city.

Join me in moving forward with a renewed peace and commitment.

  1. Earth_watch says:

Bob, so you’re totally fine with the fact that our police chief lied? You’re fine with the fact that at least three others (including high-ranking officials) were complacent with a cover-up? You’re fine with our mayor (after only one hour in a closed-door meeting) coming out with the most absurd inappropriate, insulting, insensitive statement imaginable?

Well, buckle up, Bob… ‘cuz there’s likely much more to come out from the pending lawsuit and residents’ trust and tax dollars will suffer for it.

(To the Linnick family: What Anderson / Strickland should have said is that this situation is unacceptable and inexcusable, and although no attempt at repair will ever be enough we will forever try.)

I second Earth_wtch! How smug of the mayor to say the citizens don;t need any further action to restore our turst. I’ll let you know when I’m ready to move on. I’M NOT!.

  3. Omega6234 says:

As with most people… this is a cowards way out. Robert.. you are a spineless coward.

  4. Police that falsify police reports and conspire to concoct a lie and keep it up for four years is the best any town could hope for? Police that after training in Hawaii fail to issue an amber alert for 10 hrs are the best we can get? There are too many people in Tacoma willing to accept lies and failure and indecent salaries fit city managers. I want much better for my town.

  5. Bob is a man of action that has contributed greatly to our community, especially the East Side. Perhaps others need to follow his lead to effect positive changes in our neighborhoods.
