CAMERAS: Devices are a necessary evil

While I detest automated red-light cameras (Big Brother truly is watching you), I have to admit that they are prudent and necessary as safety measures for intersections made dangerous by frequent violators.

One of these days we’ll find an initiative on the ballot to ban these devices, and it will be irresponsible municipalities like Fife that will help it pass.

  1. SSounder says:

Big brother watching you? I suggest you actually read the book that made that phrase popular (in case you don’t know, try 1984). Traffic cameras do not continuously monitor us all (as was the case i 1984).

Traffic cameras are activated electronically by certain driving behaviors, kind of when like a cop decides to take and interest in a driver.

If you are being noticed by photo enforcement cameras, and don’t want to be, change your behavior. I did.
