LIBYA: Good reasons for intervention

Perhaps the international community is not looking in the right places to press its arguments for intervention in crises such as Libya, Iraq, etc.

When I see oil refineries and wells set on fire, I see pollution that will affect the climate and health the world over. I also see a waste of a resource the entire world depends on and that is rapidly becoming scarcer, affecting the world economy.

My health, my wealth, my well-being as well as everyone else’s: These seem like good reasons to step in, as obviously the people “in charge” do not have a firm grip on the situation.
