SHOOTING: TNT disrespectful to crime-scene neighbors

The officer-involved shooting on Puyallup Avenue was a tragic occurrence. However, for the TNT to bring up “by-the-hour motels and hole-in-the-wall bars” (1-29) was disrespectful to the customers, owners and employees of those businesses.

First of all, it had no relevance to the story. And second, the owners have worked very hard to improve the area. It has come such a long way, and for this newspaper to comment on its criminal activity is just plain wrong. I don’t recall hearing negative things about the area in the Walmart shootings.

Unfortunately, these shootings are becoming way too common and need to stop. It can happen anywhere, so maybe you should leave tax-paying businesses alone.
