POLITICS: Petulant Party at odds with the military

Members of the Petulant Party (TNT, 12-23) seem to have forgotten what their primary mission is: serving the citizens and the country its members were elected to represent.

It is no wonder that this group is at odds with the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the rest of the top militia brass over the New START treaty. Their goals are different. Military members sign on to support and defend the citizens of the country they serve. Members of the Petulant Party, on the other hand, have, according to their leader, Mitch McConnell, a “single most important goal” – to defeat Obama in the 2012 presidential election.

They would rather, one must surmise, vote against the best interests and security of the United States than risk giving Obama any possible success that might be viewed as a positive in any future re-election campaign. Oh, yeah, that and not wanting to take part in a legislative agenda that amounts to “disrespecting one of the two holiest of holidays for Christians.”

Merry Christmas, Petulant Party members.
