Re: “FWay man charged in 2-year-old’s death” (TNT, 11-30).

Ron Wallace Jr. is charged with beating and shaking to death an innocent child entrusted to his care. Am I the only person in absolute disbelief that, if found guilty, he may only receive 11 to 20 years in prison? He probably would be paroled before serving his full sentence. He has two prior assault convictions, one against his 8-week-old daughter. If he would have been properly incarcerated then, maybe the 2-year-old would still be alive.

Wallace is obviously a disturbed and angry man. What is wrong with a justice system that allows this person to roam free after previous assault convictions? He is a danger to women and children.

People who are so violent do not need to be back in society, ever.

Your right, Marilyn. Guys like this also have lots of victims to chose from.
They tend to “seek out” single mothers to get access to their next victim.
They meet them in bars, online dating and match maker services, parents w/o partners, single parent orginizations, etc.

With the access available on the internet, it is beyond me why ANYONE would forego looking up a persons background before leaving them alone with a defenseless child.

Please tell us that this was Wallace’s 3rd strike!
Beating a 2 year old with a belt, repeatedly shaking them, and slapping them upside the head (after they lose consciousness) is as antisocial as it gets.

A couple of touchy, feely, anger management classes are NOT going to change this man. Given the opportunity, he will repeat this behavior.

  2. A simple sentance for child murderers – they get out when their victim gets out.

Marilyn, if history repeats itself(and it will)This criminal will probably receive 15 years, serve half of that and get parole for good behavior after 4 years and be released to perpetrate more criminal acts against children in the very near future!I can only hope the hard core criminals that have nothing to lose, will teach this child killer,it is wrong to kill and maim the children. It is very evident that Judges and Parole Boards care nothing about the safety of the innocents!!Justice Has to come from somewhere!!!!!!
