PUYALLUP: Council rejects voice of citizenry

Re: “Puyallup rejects initiatives” (TNT, 11-11).

The news article was a little misleading. It should have read: “Puyallup City Council rejects initiatives.”

It should now be obvious to the citizens of Puyallup that the present City Council members who rejected initiatives could care less what the citizens want.

Initiatives allow residents to propose new ordinances while referenda give them the chance to nullify ones that are already on the books. As stated by Councilman Jim Knutsen, the public should have a choice. I fully agree.

rich white people in Puyallup need to solve their own problems. The rest of the world is sick of hearing about it.

  2. Red, can we add Washam to the list?

yep, move him to the top!
