POLLUTION: A more responsible way to control ugly roof moss or algae

Re: “You have options to get rid of that ugly algae on your roof” (TNT, 11-10).

A better way to control algae or moss on our roofs is to use baking soda. It is cheap – about $6 for a 10-pound bag that will cover most roofs – and it works!

Using zinc, copper or lye will only contribute to the pollution of Puget Sound.
