ASSESSOR: Washam’s running a circus

Once again the Pierce County Assessor’s Office is in the news for all the wrong reasons. In 2008, the circus came to town, and we get to deal with it until 2012. Voters will have a choice to tell the circus to move on and hopefully we are all taking notes and our collective memories will tell us to do the right thing.

Dale Washam ran for office numerous times and he finally prevailed. If he had settled in to the office and done the job and corrected the mistakes, he would be a hero. Instead he continues to grind his axe ad nauseam and alienate employees and voters right and left.

You can’t help but feel sorry for the employees who are suffering through the choice that the electorate made for them. In 2012, we will be asked to choose to let a hero or a bum stay in office. I say throw the bum out. Who knows how long it will take to clean this mess up and how much it will cost the taxpayers.

Prior to his actually winning an election I told many others to watch out for this guy. His paranoia of keeping his staff from talking, to get back at previous administration, his day to day fear retailiation… he needs to have a medical / psycological evaluation. I’d recommend a recall.
