27TH DISTRICT: Both candidates show sense of entitlement

Although the contents spoiled my breakfast, thank you for your Page 1 articles on candidates Jake Fey and Laurie Jinkins. One clearly enjoys double-dipping in the public retirement system while the other is not at all bothered by playing loose with federal Hatch Act limits on running for office. Both are happy to take their current taxpayer-funded salaries while engaging in personal decisions that should outrage taxpayers.

What a sense of entitlement from each 27th District candidate. Just one more reason many of us are frustrated with the elitist viewpoint of many people in government. Now who do I vote for in this race?

  1. I would say, don,t vote for either one! Then you can,t be blamed for whatever follows. When the next election is held, maybe there will be other choices!

  2. Fey’s had his chance on the Tacoma Council. He’s always voted for higher taxes, higher utility rates, higher bus fares, and higher fees, like for parking. The tax-exempt developers and public employee unions support him because he votes for their special deals. The good old boys support him like the Brian Ebersole-Felix Flannigan-Tom Dixon “family”. He was behind the secret meeting to appoint Boe and Mello to the Council.

    Vote for Jinkins and change.
