ELECTION: Vote no on I-1100 and I-1105

With our state facing yet another deficit, voters should really take into consideration the financial consequence of voting for initiative 1100 or 1105.

After all expenses are paid the liquor control board makes a profit of roughly 322 million dollars a year which is put into the general fund. The money helps pay for law enforcement, fire fighters, prevention programs, and health care. In addition to that 18 percent of the profit goes directly to the local governments. Pierce County for example will receive roughly 7 million dollars from liquor sales.

Taking away this income away from the state would be absurd! We would see a rise in taxes and a cut in programs. Yes we would see cheaper liquor but in the end it is only going to be more expensive for us! That’s why you should vote no on initiative 1100 and 1105.

don’t you get it? If we are going to downsize government we must defund it. What’s wrong with cutting programs that should have never been passed. Vote for 1100, 1053, 1107, 1082 and HELL NO on 1098.and Ref. 52.

Control the growth of govenment by taking away their food, your money.

….says all those who live freely from government programs and who pay no taxes on the benefits they receive…

If the government wasn’t encouraging freeloading (those receiving unemployment are excused), the state’s budget woes would be smaller.

Washington goernment has no business in the retail sales business – period!! Maybe we should have them run the McDonalds to control access to the Happy Meals??!!

  4. Has anyone else noticed the emphases on the terrible things that are going to happen if the voters put an end to the unfair taxes that have been shoved down their throats?Like no more help from the Police,Fire Department,Medic One,And there will be no teachers to educate our youngsters!truthbusters has it sooooo right!!

the state of washington needs to get leaner, like all levels of government in this country. people come first, then after that a long hard look needs to be taken at the rest of the budget. too much money is wasted at all levels.

God bless America and help us keep our country free!
