ELECTION: Murray forces taxpayers to subsidize her campaign

As all you commuters are stuck on the closed down freeways forced to unwittingly add to global warming with your car exhaust this week in the Puget Sound area, consider this: The taxpayers are being forced to subsidize Patty Murray’s campaign.

It costs millions of dollars to fly VP Biden, former President Clinton, President Obama, and Mrs. Obama in Air Force One and Two and all the requisite support vehicles and helicopters, etc. It costs tremendous overtime for the police to subsidize the Secret Service presence and guard the locations that the VIPs will speak at. One of those locations, UW Tacoma is a State college!

Travel on the roads near those locations will be restricted. The freeways will be shut down for hours over the coming week as the limousines whisk the VIPs to their destinations. Airspace will be restricted. Commerce will cease.

How many people will be stuck in traffic trying to conduct business or return to their families? How much productivity will be lost due to canceled meetings or workers staying home due to frustration at the closures?

Yes, you the taxpayers pay for all this. You are subsidizing Murray’s campaign by paying millions for her DC friends to come here. But hey – it’s not HER money, why should she care? Send a message to stop spending YOUR tax money and vote to stop the out of control spending.

Vote for fiscal responsibility. Rossi is the responsible choice. Rossi is the best choice for our country.
