ELECTION: Better a lapdog than a hungry puppy

I read with amusement a letter describing U.S. Sen. Patty Murray as a lapdog to Harry Reid.

I would prefer a lapdog who has the ear of the Senate majority Leader than a puppy who has to stand in line just to get to the dog dish on the back porch.

We would be quite foolish to dismiss a hardworking, experienced senator who has worked diligently and without scandal for the people of Washington state in order to replace her with an inexperienced, unknown person who has repeatedly been rejected the voters and has been involved in some shady mortgage foreclosure schemes.

I much prefer an experienced senator who supports labor, the military and teachers over a man whose largest donors are for-profit corporations and who would actually repeal the Wall Street reforms put into place to protect all working Americans.

  1. Nice to know that you finally admit Murray is nothing more than a lapdog, and it’s also good to know whose lap she is sitting on now that Teddy is gone. While Teddy was alive, Mass. had two votes (Teddy and Patty) and now that he is gone Nevada has 2. Washington has none.

I see the letter writer has fallen for the media spin about Murray and Rossi…very sad! Yes, she is experienced, BUT, we can do much better without her ‘experience’! Time for a ‘real’ change.

  3. Linda, and just what has this all done to help Washingtonians? Harry Reid can’t help himself or his own state, how is he helping the people here? jeeeeeez!

  4. When Rossi was a State Senator his approach to the budget was to cut taxes for the rich and cut services for the needy. And now he wants us to promote him so he can do the same at the federal level?
