May I mention that “Grouse” is incorrect. Read the book “Timebomb”. You will see that the source of the Multiple Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis was a Russian. And, through DNA testing of the bacteria, they were able to determine that the bacteria he carried originated in a Russian prison. He had never been within even 1,000 miles of that prison. That is the thing about TB. The New England Journal of Medicine ran a story about a study that showed helping people with TB in Mexico actually saved $3 for every dollar spent in Mexico. It would seem that working with the Global Fund is helpful. For every dollar the U.S. sends there, the rest of the developed world sends $2. We help eliminate these diseases elsewhere, and that helps us avoid them coming to the U.S. Finally, the Global Fund has announced that it can virtually end mother to child transmission of HIV, if they receive adequate funding. In 2008 430,000 babies were born with the death sentence of HIV. They did not do anything to bring that on. And it saves a lot of money to try and treat them. It also makes it more likely that the rest of the world will be friendly to the U.S. That is one heck of a lot cheaper than spending over a trillion dollars in Iraq and Afghanistan!

And the one in New York was attributed to illegal Mexican aliens.

The Queens, New York, health department attributed 81 percent of new TB cases in 2001 to immigrants.”
