MOSQUE: Robinson’s opinions not based on fact

Re: “Pandering over a mosque that isn’t even at ground zero” (Eugene Robinson column, 8-17).

Robinson’s column was especially vicious in its opening. He takes pride in labeling a group of people with distinctive words like “jingoism” and “xenophobia.” His hatred of Republicans is without question, and he justifies his position with his opinion, which is not based on proven fact. I am sure that the mainstream opposition to the proposed mosque near ground zero comes from a broad cross section of people, not just “Republicans.”

Robinson’s brand of reporting resembles all the principles of another well-read individual from another time – Joseph Goebbels. History does repeat itself!
