I have known state Rep. Tom Campbell and his wife Lynn since 1992 and have worked on many of his campaigns. I have never know him to say anything negatives about any opponent he has run against. He has questioned their political ideas and come out ahead.

Campbell has accomplished a lot for the 2nd Legislative District and the rest of Pierce County during his time in office. The postcard that folks got in the mail was sent out by a third party that neither Campbell nor anyone in his campaign had anything to do with. When he has something to say about someone, he will say it to their face not in a third- party postcard.

Campbell is running on his record and his accomplishments, not by spewing negativity about another candidate.

  1. barbandkend says:

Representative Tom Campbell is responsible for the passage of House Bill 2266 (The Meth Law). Rep. Campbell pushed this bill through the legislature despite the opposition to the bill by the Republican Party. This bill helped turn the tide of meth labs in Washington State, dropping the meth lab rate by over 90%. Rep. Campbell was also instrumental in a push for full disclosure by hospitals, Three Strikes You’re Out and Hard Time for Armed Crimes bills.

Given the record Rep. Campbell has developed as a man of the people, and as a legislator who refuses to put his party affiliation ahead of what is best for his district, I wonder why Mr. Wilcox choose to spend his money and efforts opposing him when there are others in the district both Democrat and Republican who are rubber stamps for the political party bosses.
