ELECTION: Morell endorsement on target

The News Tribune editorial board got it right when it endorsed state Rep. Dawn Morrell for another term in the House of Representatives.
Morrell has served the 25th Legislative District and the people of the state of Washington for the last four terms, and she has done it well.

Always looking out for the working people’s issues and standing up for veterans, children and working families are just a few reasons Morrell continues to have my full support.

As a critical care nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital, she is on the front lines when it comes to medical care in our state, and we can count on her to always have our backs on the important issues we are facing during these tough economic times.

Morrell worked hard to make sure that Washingtonians can buy affordable prescription drugs from Canada, and she is not afraid to go toe to toe with the powerful drug manufacturers. She was a leading champion for the “Health Coverage for all kids by 2010” law.

She has fought for smaller classes, early learning and al-day kindergarten, and for funding student grants for career and technical colleges.

Morrell has my full support in the Aug. 17 primary election and the Nov. 2 general election.

  1. Yup!

  2. Nope! Don’t forget her vote on 6143. Dawn has never seen a nickel she didn’t want to tax. Don’t trust this nurse.

  3. ValleyTarts says:

Ms Morrell has not done badly in Olympia, but she has not performed stellarly either. In the meantime, the State is in a mess primarily thanks to her Party and the support she has provided Gregoire and Locke by her vote.
To get out of this mess in this State, a more fiscally responsible body of representitives needs to carve out a plan to recover. A tax and spend Democrat is not the person Puyallup needs in the 25th District.
My vote will go to Steve Vermillion who does provide the best hope for us in the 25th to traverse a road to recovery.
