Re: “Angel fights for school funding” (letter, 7-28).

The writer asserts that state Rep. Jan Angel solidly supports education, yet washingtonvotes.org shows a different story.

Angel opposed: HB 2731 directing implementation of a basic education program of early learning for children who are educationally at-risk; HB 2867 relating to early education; HB 6759 to plan for early education; HB1762 encouraging parental involvement in education; and several other bills impacting education.

Reviewing many of the 1,530 bills in 2009/2010 and the 10 bills sponsored by Angel leads me to believe that Sumner Schoenicke is a better choice. We need a doctor in the house, and voting Schoenicke would give us one.

  1. Rep. Angel states on her website that she will work to get education dollars “into the classroom.” The teachers aren’t buying it. The Washington Education Association endorses Sumner Schoenike for State House.

  2. If the WEA is for IT,then I am Against it!!!!
