PIERCE COUNTY: Iverson is a standout choice for County Council

Todd Iverson is our standout choice for Position 7 on the Pierce County Council. He first came to our attention several years ago as a panelist for a public campaign funding forum. He was, and is, articulate, dynamic and knowledgeable and stands up for his principles, which go hand in hand with ours.

He has a darling little boy named Gus for whose bright future he is fighting. He takes time to care about people.

His issues are our issues: creating jobs and partnering with the Port of Tacoma; smart growth vs. uncontrolled development; investing in public safety; estoring cuts to critical services; reducing traffic; and balancing shoreline management.

He’s young and supercharged with energy and already has an established record of leadership.

Iverson sees the big picture, short range and long range. He is just what we need to rev up the Pierce County Council, the engine behind the development of Pierce County.

Iverson, enough with the cheese LTE! These people dont even live in the district you are running in and Al Gray is a democrat. All the letters of support you have asked people to send in have been from your fellow labor union members or your fellow liberal democrats.

Reply to “headed south”. True, we don’t live in Iverson’s district, but we sure are interested in the make-up of the Pierce County Council and the quality of those elected to its body. We do live in Pierce County. And yes – we are Democrats – we support candidates who believe government should reflect that we are our neighbors’ keepers…not that “to the richest belong the spoils”. Eliz – I looked up Todd’s property online at the County Assors office and he has a nice house on the waterfront in Gig Harbor. Must be nice to be able to afford that. Puyallup has their own local form of government. A majority in Dist 7 are in rural pierce county and are moderate to conservative. Bottom line, Todd is not the right person to be on Council as a overly pro-labor, liberal Democrat.
