OIL SPILL: BP’s ‘response plan’ ludicrous

Hey, BP got something right in its spill plan (TNT, 6-10): The walruses, sea otters, sea lions and seals are safe. Of course, that’s because they’re in Alaska, 4,000 miles or so in the other direction.

BP’s response “plan” appears to be a lot of hooey. It’s also apparent that no one in the agencies charged with protecting our coastlines actually read it, or they’d have noticed (we hope) that there are no walruses – which are native to very, very cold waters – in the Gulf of Mexico, which is warm.

I read that too, Catherine. Funny how they just put a bunch of gibberish on paper, thinking nobody will actually read it.
