SENATE: Didier wrong to attack fellow Republican

Letter by Wendy L. Lake, Graham on May 28, 2010 at 2:58 pm with 10 Comments »

U.S. Senate candidate Clint Didier is showing his true colors, and I hope the Tea Party followers – and Republicans – are watching.

When Dino Rossi announced his candidacy to run against Patty Murray, Didier’s response was that Rossi is “a part of the Republican establishment.” I don’t understand this statement; Didier has been using the Republican brand for nearly a year to launch his campaign.

As a precinct committee officer for the Republican Party, I refuse to endorse any GOP candidate who resorts to personal attacks on a fellow Republican to gain votes. That scuzzy tactic belongs to the left.

Didier, just like any other candidate, should be required to prove why he is better than the other GOP candidates. What are his plans? His ideas for improving the economy? Will his two Super Bowl rings somehow get us out of this mess we’re in?

I urge all voters to consider the candidates for August’s primary very carefully. This election is so very important. Our futures depend on it.

How do you feel about their personal attacks on everyone else?
That “scuzzy tactic” has been honed and perfected by your party Wendy.

  2. newscrap says:

Ah, the old Ronnie RayGun tactic. Thou shalt not speak badly of fellow Republikans. Party before country, the new GOP motto.

  3. enotrams says:

This letter writer is totally oblivious to what is wrong within the GOP and it’s no wonder that she doesn’t understand Didier’s statement. Maybe Pam Roach can help her out?

Dino Rossi is part of the problem, not part of a solution.

Dino is the worst kind of politician, one who will say whatever it takes to get elected and then end up doing nothing. Thinking that Rossi, who is representative of the previous Republican majority in DC, can somehow change things in our nation’s capitol is farcical.

The desire to replace entrenched incumbents and perenial losers like Rossi is why the Tea Party movement has momentum right now.

Did Dino just prove that he was a better candidate than Ed Torres or Art Coday? No. Those canidates just got steamrolled out of the way by a big name loser, his big money backers, and THEIR SCUZZY TACTICS. This really illustrates what is fundamentally wrong in the GOP and politics in general. Too bad Wendy doesn’t have a clue.

Yes, Didier is RIGHT. People like Rossi are the problem. Voters need to realize this and consider who really represents change.

DIDIER’s POINT IS VALID. Rossi is a proven loser. If these are Didier’s ‘true colors’, then voters should be thankful to have such a ‘fresh’ choice.

It’s also obvious that we need to replace some very close minded precinct committee officers!

I agree with the letter writer and also hope that voters will think carefully about their vote and do the only sensible thing.———RE-ELECT PATTY MURRAY

  5. Roncella says:

WoW, Wendy, Your letter has got to some of the Liberal/Progressive Dems. who post here, Great Job…….

Dino Rossi, on his worse day would be a 1000 times better than Patty Murray on her best day.

Its, Pelosi, Murray, Frank, Boxer, Gregoire, Frankin and on and on..

Its time to Clean House on the extreme left Dems who control the Congress and this November is the time to do it.

  6. CrazyJim says:

Didier over Rossi any day of the week!

  7. donjames says:

Compared to the woefully ineffective patty murray, I will be happy with any of the Republican challengers.

  8. I hate to say it but newscrap is right.

I will never vote for Rossi. I will never vote for Stinky Shoes Murry.

  9. entrepreneur says:

The writer of this letter is obviously not a Republican (for you demonicrats that cannot spell) and is probably a shill for the Murray campaign. Didier is a much finer example of an American over Ms Empty Promise Tennis Shoes any day. It is about time to send the tennis shoes home and get someone in there who truly cares about the people in the State of Washington. I would proudly vote for Didier any day.

  10. sincere says:

If the present senators are reelected, then the voters that kept them in office, can not be surprised that the voters will be getting more of the same inept representation that is being handed out them now!As for myself I can,t see anyone who is running against the present senators and winning, not be a tremendous improvement.
