MARINERS: Leave player management to team

Since when have Larry LaRue, John McGrath and now “The Nose” been hired to take over the player management for the Mariners? Why are they all making so much noise trying to get Ken Griffey Jr. fired? Do they have superior knowledge, privileged information or pure clairvoyant abilities that make their somewhat pompous remarks about getting rid of Junior the only thing to do?

I thought news writers were supposed to be purely objective and informative, not trying to take over others managerial responsibilities? Though I have never seen the wisdom of paying several million dollars for a “club house” presence, it is not mine, nor the above three’s, nor the Tribune’s business to hire and fire the ball players.

Please leave this alone, and go back to reporting, instead of your poor attempts at managing the Mariners.

Not a bad idea at all. I have always thought there was a difference between a reporter and gossip columnist. I guess the Tribune doesn’t grasp the concept.

LaRue, et.al. were reporting- too bad the Griffey apologists cannot face reality.

  3. Someone has to do it. The people paid to do it, don’t seem to be able.
