One of the first columns of this new gig was written about a class for comedians that was specifically for people battling with mental illnesses – and winning.

It was a 13-week course taught via Skype by a Vancouver,  Ca. counselor, David Granirer, who was also a comedian. At the end of the class, the group did a stand-up comedy show, with Granirer there to help and do his act.

Well, that goofy, happy group is back – with Granirer – and you can see them onstage tomorrow afternoon.

Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door and the proceeds are going to help renovate and preserve the Western State Hospital Patient Cemetery.

It starts at 2:30 p.m. at the Lakewood Elks, 6313 75th Street West in Lakewood.  Good cause, funny people. If you could use a laugh, stop in.
