The Gig Harbor Morning Rotary Club lives up to its name – meetings begin promptly at 7 a.m., which is my favorite part of the day when asked to speak.
Awake or not, Rotarians meeting Friday morning at the Cottesmore of Life Care – 2909 14th Avenue NW – are going to hear me. I’ll be talking about the News Tribune, my six months as a columnist and my book on baseball, ‘Major League Encounters.’
Shorthand version? The paper is grand, the column fine and the book superb.
OK, so I’ll flesh out the details. If you’re not a Rotary member, and I am not, think about dropping by to check out the club and the speaker. If breakfast is not served, I likely will pass out midway through my address.
Oh, and if you’d like to check out the book, it’s available at Amazon.com – $3.99 on Kindle!
