If  you’re one of the millions of amateur golfers in the world, you’ve undoubtedly had rounds – heck, holes! – that forced you to consider giving up the game.

A good friend of mine, Tom Keegan, can help you.

How? No matter how bad you are, Tom likely is worse. And there’s almost certainly no shot you’ve ever hit badly that he hasn’t exceeded. Yet he loves the game and – this is frightening – even writes a golf advice  column.

Take a look at his latest video, posted today on Facebook, to get an idea of the man’s devotion to the game and his ineptitude playing it. Then imagine playing 18 with him.

As someone who has, no one ever made the game more fun, suffered more or refused to blame the sport for his failure to master it.

Tom is the sports editor at the Lawrence Journal-World in Lawrence, Kansas, where he has kept golf course grounds crews employed following him and repairing the damage in his wake.
