Stanley seeded 13th, takes on Choi in Match Play Championships

He goes off at 11:45 a.m. PST on Wednesday – just ahead of Tiger Woods, who plays Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano.

Kendall is the third 40-year-old in a row to win this season-opening event, joining Steve Pate and Brendan Pappas.

Gonzales made a run, firing a 3-under-par 68 to finish at 9-under 275.

Kendall stumbled with a bogey at No. 16 to drop into a tie. He and Svoboda came to the 570-yard,
