Knee injury likely to sideline Kelly for remainder of 2013 PGA Tour season

PGA Tour golfer Troy Kelly, a Central Kitsap graduate and Tacoma native, could be finished for the 2013 season with a knee injury.

He has been hobbled by it for most of the season. He had left hip replacement surgery in 2010.

“Basically I think it’s from walking on my right leg for a couple of years,” said Kelly, who now lives in La Quinta, Calif. and was there when he spoke to Stark. “While trying to tough the left side out the right side got beat up.”

Position: Stanley (6-over 222) placed 75th, and missed the final-day cut. Gonzales (5-over 149) and Kelly (7-over 151) missed the cut Friday. Billy Horschel (10-under 206) is the leader.
